SICK PUPPIES HIT NO.1 ON ACTIVE ROCK RADIO CHART WITH LEAD SINGLE “YOU’RE GOING DOWN” ON TOUR NOW WITH SHINEDOWN JOINS NICKELBACK ON TOUR IN AUSTRALIA NOV. 10
Los Angeles, CA – Australian rock trio, Sick Puppies’ lead single “You’re Going Down” has hit the rock world by storm, scoring them a No. 1 record on the Mediabase & BDS Active Rock Charts.
The hard hitting fight anthem appears on the band’s latest album, Tri-Polar (RMR/Virgin Records/EMI Music), which released on July 14. Revolver spotlighted Sick Puppies as one of their Bands To Watch in this month’s issue on stands now (November 2009). In addition, “You’re Going Down,” served as the theme for WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV broadcast this summer, will be used on WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 Video Game (out October 20) and scored them an Unleashed video premiere on MTV2 & MTVu.
Sick Puppies has joined forces with Shinedown on tour until October 24 and will then head back to their homeland of Australia to support Nickelback starting November 10 in Brisbane at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Sick Puppies relocated to Los Angeles four years ago, and introduced themselves to the world with their song, “All The Same,” which was used for video that was shot in a Sydney shopping mall featuring their friend Juan Mann, who held up a hand-written placard offering “Free Hugs,” a clip seen by more than 50 million viewers on YouTube alone, spurring six-figure sales of their RMR/Virgin Records/EMI Music major label debut, Dressed Up As Life. In recent times, SICK PUPPIES (Shimon Moore, guitar and vocals, Emma Anzai, bass, Mark Goodwin, drums) completed a two-month headline tour, and a series of gigs supporting Evanescence, Deftones, Velvet Revolver, Chris Cornell, Flyleaf, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, 3 Doors Down and Finger Eleven.
