Amusing Road Story from Sick Puppies

I know i've posted Shim's send out emails on here before because not everyone gets them oddly, so here's one I just recently got to read




This one time on tour It was so funny!

I was in the toilet at a road side diner and I heard the bus
pulling away from the petrol pump. It was around 6 am and I just
woke up cause I had to go. So while the driver was paying for the
petrol, he didn't see me passing thru to the toilet. SO HE LEFT! I
pulled my pants up and ran for the bus but it was already on the
turn pike onto the freeway.

I was stranded. I hadn't brought my phone cause I was in my
sleeping pants without pockets and I was still half asleep.

So I went to a pay phone when I realized that I didn't know any of
my crew or bands phone numbers.... THEY WERE ALL SAVED IN MY PHONE!

So I had to hustle the guys behind the counter to find me a ride to
chase the bus before it got too far down the road.

They asked me "Ok where is the bus going"? I said .... "I dunno, I
find out when we get there."

They couldn't believe how stupid I was.

I couldn't believe how stupid I was!

So I had to go online and find what city I was playing in next, and
then follow the freeway that way. Luckily the guy behind the
counter that gave me a ride was completely crazy and drove like a
maniac at over 100 miles an hour.

I thought I was gonna die. But luckily there was no-one else on the
road cause it was 6 am so no one else was in danger, JUST ME!

Finally we saw the bus in the distance and had to do the trick in
the movie "Speed" where we got up to the front of the bus, backed
up so we were right in front of it and then I waved so the driver
was looking right at me.

His face went white.

He pulled over and begged me not to tell anyone on the crew cause
he'd get fired.

He lost the lead singer! I said he had to do my laundry for the
rest of the tour and also buy me a really big baggy woolen beanie
cause I could never find one.

Low and behold, my laundry was washed and pressed for the rest of
the tour. And a perfect fabric beanie with a soft cotton inlay was
waiting on my bunk later that week.

Forgiveness is a bitch... Isn't it?

That. Is. Epic. Poor Shim. I can imagine seeing him running across a gas station parking lot in his PJs yelling at the bus.

Director: Listen, I am going to need you to be more animated. This is how Shim would do this scene. (Wild gestures & funny faces)

Actor: Look, I grew out my hair and let you style it for me...And look what I am wearing!!! I am giving it all I can!!

Director: Get Shim on the phone!

So very one else was asleep when they drove off and didn't notice Shime was off in the "outback". Start a "sign off the bus" list for the driver.
