Well, after ages of considering and re-considering, I finally decided to look and see if I could find a place that does digital prints on shirts and I came across a company on the internet called Zazzle. You can choose pretty much and color and of t-shirt up to 6XL. Also, you can upload photos, create custom pictures etc. right on the website and they'll print it on the shirt and send the new and finished work right in the mail.
Sounds good to me, so I decided to play with some possibilites before deciding for sure on what I want and hopefully a suggestion or two. If it's any copyright infringements, I'll just have to suck it up

This one's a rough thought and will take some time to get it right if I went with it.

Re: A Custom Shirt
As far as I know we aren't allowed tp print any type of custom shirts without band approval. You can direct questions about it to Susanna via pm.

Re: A Custom Shirt
you also can not use photographs unless they are your own or you have the permission of the photographer

Re: A Custom Shirt
Thanks guys, I'll send her a pm. I kind of figured I wouldn't be able to get the photograph one done. Wal-Mart (my employer) has a lot of complications with customers and professional photographs, so... yeah.
Even so, it was a cool thought so I decided to see what it looked like and was rather pleased with it.

Re: A Custom Shirt
Killer dark shirt design Missy. Printing a graphic like that on black tees is a special technique.....
I can help you get shirts with a Professional concert print for the best price.
Our screen print minimums are only twelve shirts....
the New Direct Digital on demand is an option also. the prints are not quite as nice but you can just put it up for sale and they print one, whenever someone orders.
We can get you a WAY better price then the large internet sites like cafepress.
Just a thought , check us out first!
sorry to do a sales post, but you might be glad I did...

Re: A Custom Shirt
The second one looks really awesome. The first one.. you might want to try a more exciting font than Arial.
I make games.

Re: A Custom Shirt
I am new to the site, but not new to custom shirt designs. If you are making a shirt for yourself, it is not infringement unless you use an image that has a disclaimer that states you are not allowed to use it without written consent. You have to be careful because where the image comes from may have an implied disclaimer. I have not had a problem myself yet.
Making any product for profit using someone elses design/image opens up a whole different can of worms.
I have helped friends make their own shirts with pictures they took that were for their own use. When they have worn them, people ask where they got them. They just say they made it themselves. My wife has a few custom Chevell shirts (which is how we came to fall in love with SP). The merch booth at Chevelle concerts even took pictures of some of the shirts to show the band.
Oh, lastly. If you want to do a quick shirt and not pay a big price and not wait a week or more for it to arrive there is a cool option. Craft stores now have iron ons that are the size of a standard sheet of paper that you print on with your home printer (no special ink needed). Ironing the decal some how seals the image. The ones we have done have lasted a dozen washes so far.
We got 3 sheets for $7 and 3 dark ts for about $4 each.

Re: A Custom Shirt
This is a informative thread. It's good to know what is acceptable for private use in making shirts of the band. Thank you for sharing!
