Free Hugs in NYC

I was in NYC yesterday with my friend and we were walking through Times Square. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a "FREE HUGS" sign.

This guy was standing right near Virgin Megastore with the sign above his head. Well I went up to him and gave my first actual FREE HUG. Then we started talking about Sick Puppies and he said that he loves them! A girl (possibly his friend) was video taping him with his sign and him giving people hugs. My friend took a picture of me hugging him, too. I will post it as soon as he sends it to me.

Just wanted to share my experience!! :)

wow! i've never seen that here before. but then again, i usually don't go anywhere near times square.

well, unfortunately he wasn't there this evening. i was headed downtown for mother's day dinner and decided to pass through times square for once.
