I wish we could do Free Hugs at my school. A few kids tried earlier this year, but a bunch of people (mainly visiting parents) got upset and re-enforced that d**n PDA rule.

Half the kids who did it got suspended for "invading another's personal space" when the kids who hugged the participants were willing to get a free hug.

I seriously do not know what's wrong with the world today. I have heard about a kindergartener getting expelled for hugging another little kid and teachers of course aren't allowed to comfort our kids when they get hurt or are upset.

It's such crap. I agree, we have to be careful and protect our kids, but come on!

I agree with that, it sucks. Some kids also abuse things like calling the authorities because their parents spanked them. I got spanked when I was little but I really learned my lesson. It's not like it's child abuse.
