From one n00b to another, welcome aboard

Haha. That is weird. What kinda guitar you got? What was the song? How long you been playin? All the usual questions =P

I'm self taught! My friend, who had been playing for four years at the time, taught me the intro to crazy train, and let me borrow his alvarez acoustic for six months. I taught myself most everything I know, and took pointers from some friend who are better than me. I'm ok I guess. The most difficult thing I can play is the sweep solo in Avenged Sevenfold's Bat Country, but I can't play it consistently all the time. My fingers give out and start hurting. I can play stuff like beast and the harlot really good, and I know every song from Three days grace's second album. But I could be alot better. There are some big issues I have with my playing. But yea. I've been playing for two years almost exactly now. I have two Schecters, the Damien 6 and the Damien special FR. I wanna learn bass, thanks to seeing Emma live monday

Emma is AMAZING live. There's no other word for it.

She moved so fast that not only did I have trouble following the solo in Nothing Really Matters with my eyes, I had trouble following it with my ears. That just blew my mind.

Unfortunately, I haven't heard that yet =( They didn't do it live. I'm gonna look up the song though. Too bad they haven't re released the album yet.

Aloha DropC! I also play guitar, but I'm better on bass, and I have to agree with everyone, Emma is amazing! I love her slap and pop intro in Master of the Universe... sick. I've only been playing for about a year as well, and I'm also self-taught. I'm better with my bass than on guitar, but bass is a lot of fun! Yeah after I saw Emma a few weeks ago live, it inspired me to get better.

Hey DropC, I really like that name. Also cool because pretty much all of Shims work is done it drop C. I've been playing guitar for 5 years, all self taught. If you ever want to talk about guitars, hit me up....I never get tired of it.
