Hello from VT!

(and yes, that is Vermont! lol)
I'm Sara, from the little state of Vermont. I live in the Burlington area, aka the only real "city" in this state... and home to my favorite venue Higher Ground which lucky for me has been popular with SP
. I go to school at the University of Vermont, majoring in Medical Laboratory Science. I've been a SPWC member for awhile now, but unfortunately allowed my forum account to lapse last summer and never actually created a new one until just a few days ago. I am pretty sure though that this is the same forum name as my last one. Last summer was crazy busy for me... I made the mistake of trying to keep two jobs simultaneously... not doing that again. I had -zero- free time, except for the days off I took for concerts
I've been a huge SP fan since early 2007 when I stumbled across the Free Hugs video while randomly bouncing around YouTube. I loved the song so much that I went to FYE on the day Dressed Up As Life was due to be released... and wound up badgering a poor unsuspecting FYE employee to go dig out a copy of the album from the back room because they didn't have the album out on shelves like it should have been. (And I went fairly late in the day too!) Turns out they hadn't even unpacked them... Said employee trudged to the back room and emerged several minutes later with a CD that didn't even have so much as a price sticker on it. I went to my first SP show in May 2007, and that's when I was really and truly hooked. They absolutely blew me away onstage. I had driven 1.5 hours to go to the show, solely to see SP because I didn't even like the headliner (Flyleaf. But I like them now...) I met them later when they were hanging out at the merch desk, and was amazed at how NICE they were. I've met plenty of band members with that whole "I am better than thou" attitude and it drives me -nuts-. I happened to be wearing a Breaking Benjamin tour shirt, and ended up having a little conversation with Mark about how awesome they were, I still remember that to this day
If there are any other Burlington-area SPWC-er's, send me a PM and I'll give you my facebook. I'd love to meet more people who have a mutual love for my favorite band that actually live near me
Well... I am off to go start working my first clinical rotation at the hospital... so nervous!
