Hello there....

Hey everyone.
My name is Lizzie, I'm 18 and a full time student at Moravian College in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. I live at college, but when I come home I live with my mother and father, and 4 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Holly. I have an older brother, Jake, but he lives in south Jersey now 2 hours away so I don't see him that often.
Sick Puppies are a new love of mine. I just got Dressed Up As Life and Tri-Polar for Christmas and can't stop listening to either. I like them for basically the same reasons I like all my other favorite bands, they help me cope with my emotions.
See, in 2006 when I was 14 and a freshman in high school I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I was in and out of hospitals, put through many rigorous and disgusting tests and procedures, in a terrible amount of pain, lost a dramatic amount of weight, and even lost the ability to walk for nearly an entire year before I had a bowel resection surgery that saved my life. I denied it for a while, then something terrible happened with the disease and I forced myself into a terrible depression. Since then I've really found strength, hope, and peace through educating others, raising awareness and funds, and, of course, through music.
So, that's a shortened version of my story. I look forward to meeting others and having a good time here. Thanks!
Lizzie
