i guess this is an appropriate way to tell my story of when I first heard Sick Puppies.
I had recently been diagnosed with a pseudo-tumor cerebri a few years back, and it basically meant i had awful headaches which would wake me from sleep and i could never get out of bed. The headaches became worse and new symptoms started showing, i’d get a ringing in my ear that pulsed along with the beat of my heart and it wouldn’t let me sleep. I soon developed insomnia and everything kept getting worse.
One day I woke up with my ears ringing again and I just thought to myself I couldn’t take this anymore, so I got an iPod and went to the local record shop and picked up a random number of CDs. In the bunch of CDs was Dressed Up As life. I instantly fell in love with Sick Puppies and I’d listen to them all night, and I could finally fall asleep, because I didn’t hear the ringing. My headaches started lessening and i was sleeping alright. One day I fell asleep without my headphones and I didn’t wake up to the ringing. My headaches were completely gone, and since then I’ve been hooked.
I love them so much, and they were a huge part in my recovery.
