Greetings everyone. I recently joined and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris. I am 31 and I live in Flint, MI. I have been a Sick Puppies fan for years, and I got to see them live for the first time a few months ago. Just ordered my tickets to see them October 18th in Detroit too!
There are certain songs we all connect with, and I wanted to share with everyone the story of my connection with the song "Maybe." I lived in a small Pennsylvania city the first 30 years and 2 months of my life. Last August I was offered a job promotion but it involved relocating to Flint, MI. It was a great opportunity, but I would be leaving everyone and everything I have ever known to move to the murder capital of the US. Now that I look back I really did not want to move. I negotiated compensation and pretty much assumed they would never give me what I wanted (easy way out of moving). To my shock they offered me everything I wanted. I needed some time to think. That night I went to the gym and I was listening to an internet radio station when the Sick Puppies song "Maybe" came on. I had heard the song before, and liked it; however, that night I listened to the lyrics and they hit me. That night I decided I was going to take a chance, move 400 miles, and start a new life.
September 21st will be the one year anniversary of the moves, and I can tell you I have not regretted it once. I am a stronger person for it, and definitely credit the song "Maybe" for helping me make one of the toughest decisions in my life. Yes I am long winded haha. I look forward to getting to know everyone!
