Les Paul Dies at 94

I couldn't think of a different place to put this, but it seems only fitting to put it here also since Shim uses Gibson guitars, and that the large majority of this community is guitar players themselves.
Today, the music world lost one of it's greatest visionary for Guitar. Les Paul, the creator of the infamous Gibson Les Paul died today at the age of 94. I was not really a fan of the Les Paul design, but that does not stop this from being tragic, as I understand without him, we might not have wealth of music that we have now, including the Sick Puppies music that we have today, due to Shim not being able to get ahold of a Gibson guitar.
The story reads:
Les Paul, who invented the solid-body electric guitar later wielded by a legion of rock 'n' roll greats, died Thursday of complications from pneumonia. He was 94.
He led an amazing life, but it was still far too tragic to see one of our legends die. I don't think there is a guitarist in this world that didn't nearly cry when they heard this news, and I'm sure there's quite a few that actually did cry when they heard.
He will be missed, and he will never be replaced. RIP Les Paul, and thank you for all you did for the guitar community. <3
