I'd like to get some feedback on the lyrics I wrote yesterday. There is a full song that goes with it, or at least an entire bassline that I have done for it, but nothing else til the guys in my band make parts for it.. let me know if these are good since i generally don't write lyrics
Drowning in indecision,
Trading confusion for denial,
Wading through years of apathy
Just to start it all again
Saying, “This time I’ll be different, I swear this time I’ll change…”
Consider this a tribute to the consequence of me
Treading against the sweeping current that’ll drag me to the start.
Running through the motions
Just occupy and forget
Busy the mind with bullshit
Just don’t slow it down
Thinking, “This time I’m too busy, I swear I just don’t care.”
Consider this a tribute to the consequence of me.
Racing against the clouds of doubt that’ll drag me to the start.
Self deception time is through,
Time to change it all
Choose your weapon, head to battle
Leave it all behind…
Consider it a tribute to the one I used to be
Standing new above the rubble of shattered apathy.
Standing fresh above the ashes of a burned and broken past.
Drowning in indecision,
Trading confusion for denial,
Wading through years of apathy
Just to start it all again
Saying, “This time I’ll be different, I swear this time I’ll change…”
Consider this a tribute to the consequence of me
