After going through a pretty tough time, I finally went back to God because I figured everything else just made me feel worse and God really smacked me upside the head and pulled me back. This is what I wrote after I had a breakdown in church.


Beaten broken
So ashamed

....even tho i dont know your circumstances, i know what its like to be 'living a lie' (for whatever reasons that may be) to the point that you simply cant take it anymore. i must confess that among the many avenues of relief i ventured to take, the ones that helped me the greatest were developing my spirituality, and music..

And not just any music, but music that you can really relate to. So for me personally, listening to SP is like taking that miracle pill once a day; gives me a daily pep talk when i need it.

i listen to YOU'RE GOING DOWN when i drive like a bat outta hell or want to beat the crap outta someone (lol), MY WORLD, ALL THE SAME, ODD ONE, etc. when im totally depressed...

and what i especially love about their music is that it seems to really have such a genuine unifying effect on the crowd; i especially noted that when watching the various youtube videos submitted for the MAYBE contest.

I do the same thing. Sick Puppies really help me to escape and to vent. I recently got out of a relationship and the guy told me that I would be nothing without him but that I'd be an alcoholic and that I'm not worth anyone's time. Justify became my anthem as well as Maybe.

wow, that's horrible! definitely sounds like quite a rough patch you're going through but i'm glad to hear it sounds like you are trying your best not to let it get you down completely, even though it might be hard.

Thanks! I wound up dating the guy again and he proved to be a jerk...again. We're still friends now and I'm helping him heal because he is starting to become what he said I would be (and what i did start doing). I looked for answers in all the wrong places. I'm about to post a partial of another song. Go check it out. Its called Ordinary.
