I've been told today is Cosplay Appreciation Day and I'm kind of sad I can't go celebrate in any way other than wearing a wig during dinner (and subsequently get weird looks from my parents).

Just thought I'd share a random story about my dogs that is related to Sick Puppies. I have a pug named Duncan who HATES getting his nails clipped. My vet and a vet tech have to do it for me. He throws a complete fit every time...bucking, squirming, sometimes he holds his breath and then we have to take a break for him to calm down. Pugs are notorious for flipping out when you trim their nails - actually, just touching their paws makes some of them scream she said. A couple of months ago I took Dunk in for his trim and I started talking to the vet tech about SP. We were talking about the backyard show I had recently gone to and I showed her pictures, etc. We were completely ignoring Duncan and somehow the whole thing went by so quickly and he only squirmed a little bit one time. The vet was amazed. She wrote a note in the chart so we'd remember what to do. I brought him back yesterday and the vet says "Ok, it says in my chart we have to talk about Sick Puppies and I'd like to try that again to see what happens". I happened to have a whole new story for them about the awesome VIP session I just went to in CT with pictures and everything. Sure enough, same thing happened. Absolutely NO flipping out! Calm as can be! I guess my dogs are just as obsessed with SP as I am!
