Re: 2008 Presidential Elections
Saying that we go with what is popular sort of implies that you don't think we can think for ourselves. And, as a student, I don't tend to share my political views with my teachers unless I know them really well or it comes up in conversation. I'm most prone to talk with my peers about this stuff, whether they agree with me or not. And I've noticed that I'm not the only one who does form an opinion. Granted, there are some kids who just don't care and go with their parents or just don't pay attention. But I don't think it's fair to believe you see what kids know when they most likely don't view you as an equal.

Re: 2008 Presidential Elections
well then y say it doesnt matter? when they are actually the top reasons for political opinions to be formed, along with economic, citizenship and job status.

Re: 2008 Presidential Elections
I don't feel like this is terribly disrespectful. It's debate. Debate offends some people. But it's enjoyable.

I think I will step in here and ask that everyone just move away from this thread at this time, or I 'll need to lock it for the time being. Politics and Religion are 2 things that are not easy to discuss due to the fact that everyone has strong feelings/opinions about them . Let's move onto a different thread .

Re: 2008 Presidential Elections
Welcome to Obamunism....It's not Communism, but right next to it.
The Famous Quote from Karl Marx:
"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." The phrase summarizes the principles that, under a communist system, every person should contribute to society to the best of their ability and consume from society in proportion to their needs, regardless of how much they have contributed. This is EXACTLY what Mr. Obama tells "Joe the Plumber"...Mr. Obama wants to spread Joe's "wealth" around ........be afraid, be VERY AFRAID !!!

I'm sending out a signal to the possibility of you...
'Cause right at this moment, I know you're connected to a part of me that I don't even know myself.

Re: 2008 Presidential Elections
Did anyone see Sarah Palin on SNL? She didn't really say anything worthwhile, but the Palin rap was eff'ing hilarious.
