What's everyone's favorite summer activities? I'm from a super touristy area in Northwest Iowa (Okoboji), so mine is avoiding the tourists, taking long Jeep rides with the top and doors off, bouncing around on the wave runners in the lake, and of course, following my favorite band on tour.

Oddly enough my summer plans are working so I can take my friend (who just finished her chemotherapy treatments but is now going on to the double mastectomy part of it) to Disney World. So I will be boring this summer but it will be worth it to see her smile.

Finding ways to play hookey from work is a fun summer activity.

Actually, heading down to Southern Utah is just ... the best getaway ever. Red rocks. Hiking. Fantastic wine and beer. Life is good down there.

I'm just preying the UK gets more than a few days of warm weather.

Going to Spain I enjoy traveling a lot

But this will also be my first summer working... Ain't looking forward to that

I'm planning on going to two music festivals (Bråvalla and Ljungarocken) and maybe taking a road trip down to Belgium and The Netherlands to visit a few of my favourite breweries and try some excellent beer.

A few weeks ago I went to Manchester, UK with my husband to see Manchester United vs Arsenal. The game ended in a draw, but it was still awesome!

As I only get three weeks vacation, I'll also be working a lot

I don't know what all I'm going to be doing. Work travel is keeping me pretty busy at the moment but I have fun weekend plans to see Trevor Hall in Chicago in a few weeks and Vegas with an awesome group of friends in July. Work gives me four weeks of vacation and I'm not sure what to do with it. Dad wants to take his boat down to southern Missouri this late summer / fall when it's not so hotl and spend a week camping/fishing.

We have been doing a lot of swimming, but it doesn't seem to be getting very hot here in Phoenix this year. What is up with that???

Avoiding work!

Wow that's weird... It's supposed to be around 80 to 90 degrees around here but its barely hitting 70 at this point.

Loving the cooler Phoenix summer...fearing we will pay for it in August and September...
