Correct me if I'm mistaken but anagram means rearranging the letters of one word to make another. Example: smile = limes, cares = races, dial = laid, etc.

Acronyms are what you're doing - and also something our government loves to use, specifically in the military. Example: RADAR, SCUBA, PFD, FBI, CIA, etc.
