Re: I am curious
Actions speak louder than words. With that said, judgemental people probably aren't worth your time. Or they themselves could just be stuck in the past. Or they want to bring you down to their level.
Either way, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you know your past and you know what you may have or haven't learned from it. Furthermore, be confident in who you are, your opinion of yourself should be the only one that matters.
Just my opinion.

Re: I am curious
My guess, premature judgement. They want to figure out what you 'are' by learning about what you were, instead of getting to know you in the now.

I think it's boredom with their own lives. They need something to talk about or complain about or gossip about, so they decide that you are more intersting than their own lives. Sucks to be the target. I know. I am the target---ALOT!

Don't let someone tell you you're no one...Odd One
What's inside of me is invisible to most, even in clear view
Where did the time go? Hell if I know
I tried to be someone else, but nothing seemed to change. I know now this is who I really am inside.

Re: I am curious
For what it's worth, here's my $0.02...
Your past is your own. The only person who gets to judge it , good OR bad, is you. If someone decides to judge you for it, well... those are the type of people I personally find I am better off without in my life. We're all human. Which means we're all fallible and we all make mistakes.
It's not the events and disasters of your life that define you.... it's how you deal with the aftermath. And as long as you learned from it, then why should anyone think they have the right to judge you? Frustrating... is definitely one way to put it!
