Ok my Ipod was on shuffle today and I came the the realization that the intro was taken from rage against the machines "Street Fighting Man" from the renegades album. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm still trying to figure out why they copied a riff like that.

I don't have cable, so I saw the commercial for the first time today. In math, we were watching the Gophers game, and it came on. I freaked out, and everyone thought I was weird. Which I am.

Is it just me or did they change the song even more in the more recent commercial, the song was snipped to begin with but I saw the commercial for the 3rd time recently and it didn't seem the the first and second time I saw it and then at the end when he say's "let's do this"...it didn't sound like how it does in the song...is it someone else saying it?

there are a few commercials for the game, they are have the song editted a different way. im really suprised this is the only song they are using, most video games will basically have their own soundtrack.

Street Fighter was a big part of my life growing up. Lame I know. But it was a time in my life where if I hadn't had this stand-up arcade game I prob would have gotten in some serious trouble. Lots of memory's of hanging at the local burger joint with a pocket full of quarters and trash talking all the people I use to stomp. LOL. When I heard this song for the first time (when I saw the commercial) I wanted to run out side and punch something.

"War" is getting regular radio play here in chicago (on q101.1) and the dj's seem to be digging it too. its exciting to know that sp is getting recognition and support by the radio industry in a major city for just a single like "war," and i think it's a good sign for when the rest of the album comes out!

hahaha i don't know about "THE" Bert, but yes, thats me. i havent been on the forum in a while, but crystal reminded me of the note she gave me saying that she would murder me if i didnt post (isnt she sweet?)

Victory!! My local station FINALLY played Street Fighter today!! They played it at the best time, too. Mid afternoon on their most popular show.

I still haven't heard it on my station. I think the DJ is still waiting for it to be sent to him, but he had sent me an email saying that he adored SP and would play the single as soon as it comes in.

I saw it on my stations list of songs they played one more time...at 2 am. GRRR. I guess that's better than nothing...
