Serge we still love you. While this album isn't speaking to you so far, just think of all the new fans they will probably get from it. You've made me think about how many bands I couldn't get enough of on the first couple albums, but after that I didn't feel it any longer. On the other hand there are a ton that I didn't get into until later albums and then had open enough mind to go back and listen to earlier ones and loved. I'm going to get strung up here for this but one of those for me is Evanescence . Not so much in the beginning, but in love now

I have to agree with Serge on this one(So you're not alone! ). I didn't say anything when War was released. I thought it might have been just the one bad song on the album but then this got leaked(or whatever happened. lol) and its so....different. It's very...mainstream. Which I don't have a problem with. But it's so mainstream that it really doesn't sound like them anymore. :/ It really sounds like you could take Shim out and put any other person in their singing it. Which sucks.

I'm still hoping for the new album, and I still love DUAL. But these 2 singles really haven't impressed me. :X

This is an epic song and I really like it to be honest. I'm not much of a 'ballads' person; I like angry, thrashy, jump around music, can't help it. The new direction they are going in is kick ass. This is going to be an awesome song to see live!

what is with all of the ambassadors trashing the new material?? sick puppies are a rock band, so of course they are going to write, produce and perform hard rock songs. i know they had some good slower type songs which i love just as much, but they are not an EMO band and shouldnt be expected to make such songs all of the time. i think the new single kicks ass and will move them on to the next level in their careers. i am looking forward to the new album 100000000 times more since i have heard the first single. i wish they had some dates in my area so i could hear the new songs ASAP.

I really like the new song and sound... however,
I am definitely hoping that most of the songs on the new album have more meaningful lyrics, whether they are hard rock or the slower stuff!

I have to agree with Becky on that one Matt. Pretty much everyone in this thread has stated that they LOVE the new single. I wasn't "trashing" the new single, I was just simply stating my opinion of it. I know they're a hard rock band, but these singles just aren't my kind of hard rock. I'm sorry if what I said offended you, but I do have my right to an opinion.

Definitely not disrespectful. I actually thought that it was great you and Sam were willing to state your thoughts. This would be a hard place to do so because the majority thinks the opposite. You were respectful to the band and we should be respectful to you.

it is just a total double standard from previous experience. three ambassadors of the band should not be on an offical band forum saying that they do not like the bands latest single and/or the direction the band is moving in. i know they are all welcome to their opinion, its what makes this country great lol, but this should not be stated publicly by people who are supposed to represent the band. those posts from ambassadors will look very bad when shim, mark and emma read them. JMO i cant wait for the next 60 days to wind down

No, I get what you're saying Matt. I'm a Mod, and maybe it's not in my place to PUBLICLY state whether I like the songs or not. That's why I didn't say anything about War. I was going to keep it to myself. Then I decided that "Hey, this board is like my family." and I thought it would be ok to share my views as well on the songs. Not everyone is going to love every single one of their songs, and I think the band would know that.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone, wasn't my intention!
