Ummm, I may be able to make a Sick Puppies fan out of another friend yet, I hope! My friend Dana is travelling with me to either the St. Louis or Tennessee show. I'm like well you better give them a listen to get into their music first, as she normally is not into the rock or heavy metal stuff. She watched the video, You're Going Down and really liked it, so I'm gonna work on her some more until she loves them..lol! I doubt she would ever join this board cause she leads a pretty busy life, but if I can make her a big fan, that still be great! Oh, and ofcourse she thinks Shim is so cute, well, that's a given! But anyway, I'm sure aswell after seeing them live in concert, she will love them, if not, I'm gonna beat her until she does..lol!

A friend of mine called me tonight specifically to let me know that he had went out and purchased Tri-Polar. I screeched like a dork (of course ) and he continued on to say that he was opening it up right then and was going to give it a listen. Yay!

I spend a lot of time trying to convert my friends into Sick Puppies fans. I've succeeded with several of my friends, 5+ of which I have brought to see them live at Higher Ground, which, of course, made them much more of fans. Other than that though, not so much... Oh well, I'll keep trying.

reporting in!: i had lent my SP CDs (DUAL and TP) to a buddy of mine a few weeks back for them to get the full listen. low and behold when i saw him today i find out both of them are planning a trip to higher grounds to try and catch a show. i am so in!

I have converted a couple of my friends into fans. : ) They have bought their music and such. Plus, my nephew likes them too. So that is a cool thing.

Who wouldnt like them?? If people really spent time listening to their music, it is very likeable. I will always recommend them to people.

Zing! I reeled one in last night, but was too tired to post it up. I brought Dressed Up as Life because it finally was in stock where I shop for music, and listened to it with a friend of mine. He plays bass, I choose "Anywhere But Here" to start us off and by the end of the first minute I won. Or SP won, but whatever.

Iunno. But I hope when they ask me what that tattoo on my arm is, and I tell them, they think "Why is this guy so crazy that he'd be someone's signature tattooed on his arm?" and that they go check them out!

But my one friend did send me a frantic text message. I was worried, but she went "OMfG!!!! I JUST HEARD SICK PUPPIES ON THE RADIO AND WITHOUT YOU I WOULDN'T KNOW WHO THEY WERE!!!!". Did she love them or not? She never answered the question, but knowing her she probably did.

I've converted 2 people. Last year my mom & I went to see Hinder, and I didn't even realize that Sick Puppies were the openers until we got there, and I got all excited and my mom had never heard of them. I told her they were awesome and I had gotten into them cause they had a girl bass player (being a girl bass player myself, lol), and by the time they were done with their set, she was a huge fan and still is now. I took a friend of mine with me to see them in Nashville in April, she had heard of them but didn't really know anything by them, so we listened to DUAL on the way there and she loved it and loved the show and is now a big fan too.

So far I have succesfully converted my sister who is my same age and her boyfriend. They both love it and they are the ones I am taking with me to the concert in seattle. What I find easiest is to get on the computer and put SP on speaker and give the people around me no choice but to listen. Then I start telling them everything that is so amazing about them. Which is everything!lol.

On the 7 hour road trip (round trip) yesterday with my brother, his g/f's brother, and their friend I was the only one with my iPod. They asked about a few bands and then Danny (the g/f's bro) asked if I had You're Going Down! I was like OF COURSE I do!!!! So then I put that on, they were commenting... An I suggested playing War (since they're into the harder stuff) and played that. Then every chance I got I put more SP on lol idk if it did any good, but I wanted to make sure they heard the new album one way or another!

I had this guy who knew nothing about Sp ask me "what's a song that's not too hardcore to listen to?" I said look up "Free Hugs All The Same", he liked then then he told me "yeah I downloaded some song called "My World too"...then I asked "Wait....legally or illegally?" he said "Illegally OF COURSE"...I was like WTF!?!?!!?....I haven't talked to him since.
