I wanna hear Dead Space =[
I think I might have some monies left on an iTunes gift card.
.....I'm also curious about "Monsters", those were the only other non-album songs mentioned by Emma right?

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
Here ya go guys,
After four years of living in Los Angeles, it's no surprise that Sick Puppies sound more American than ever on Tri-Polar. The Australian band always drew on U.S. angst rock for its influences, though, and that's even more obvious here than before, with plenty of Alice in Chains, Stabbing Westward, and their ilk apparent on the bandmembers' sleeves. "So What I Lied" has a guitar riff in the midsection typical of Tool, and in "White Balloons" singer Shimon Moore briefly adopts the stop-start cadence of Maynard Keenan. "Don't Walk Away" is a very typical example of the "I know I was wrong" genre that even includes a heartfelt moan of..."I know I was wrong." Another touchstone band whose influence was felt on their previous album, Dressed Up as Life, is My Chemical Romance, and although Tri-Polar's production has their polished sheen, Sick Puppies lack the theatrical edge of My Chemical Romance that makes the sound work. Moore's agonized and echoing screams and shouts would be better served by a production style that wasn't so relentless about smoothing out all of the rough edges, letting them be as ragged as it sounds like the band wants them to be. The downtrodden revenge fantasy "Master of the Universe" has a quirky slap bass intro and a sitar layered into the guitar solo; it's the album's highlight. Unfortunately for Sick Puppies, though, there's nothing with the breakthrough potential of "All the Same" here.

I disagree with the last line, I mean "All The Same" is amazing, and one of the best songs EVER written (of all time; in my opinion, of course). But "Maybe" can and WILL be a breakthrough song

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
Stupid iTunes. I just listened to the whole album (including Dead Space), and not only is none of that true (My Chemical Romance could never be as good as Sick Puppies), but I already like it better than Dressed Up As Life. I can't say what my favorite songs are yet, since I've only listened to the album once, and saying You're Going Down and Street Fighter (War) are my favorites would be unfair, since I already know them so well. I will say that I prefer all the changes in YGD explicit album version over the radio edit (1 completely changed line, 1 s-bomb, and 1 slightly changed line). I'll be listening to this album a lot in the next few months.

That reviewer for Itunes just doesn't know amazing music when he/she hears it . I think the album is amazing beginning to end , shows a whole different sound and I think it will bring Sick Puppies to a whole new level and gain them many new fans.

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
Just starting out by saying, Dressed Up As Life is a much better album.
That being said, Tri-Polar has some great tracks.
"Dead Space" is way too weird. Shim's falsetto voice doesn't work. Cool work with the delay pedal though at the end.
Top Tracks:
- I Hate You (heavy as f*ck!)
- Should've Known Better (kicks some major ass, best guitar solo by Shim ever)
- So What I Lied (Love the odd timing during the chorus)
- Odd One (I love that chorus, so uplifting)

12:01am baby!!!
As for the album.. I love it!! My 2 favs as of the moment are Should've Known Better and White Balloons, but I love the rest of them too. Maybe is definitely in my top and I do love You're Going Down. The only one I am feeling ehh about is Odd One, but it may grow on me.
Shim: You don't like Rage Against the Machine?
Me: I like one song.
Shim: Which one?
Me: Bulls on Parade.
Shim: F%&* off! HAHA

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
I really don't like the reviews they are giving the CD... I honestly believe they named it "Tripolar" for a reason! Well here are my fav tracks thus far:
1.Riptide
2.Should've Known Better
3.In It For Life
But like everyone else here, I enjoyed the entire CD!

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
That just shows you how good they are actually doing! Lets keep the numbers going for them! I am getting up early to get the CD from Target... Is anyone else having trouble getting the bonus stuff from their copy of Tripolar to work?
