I have also searched every news station website (that I can find in Spokane) about this story. I searched sick puppies, run away teens, alissa, alyssa, so on and so forth. There is no mention of it anywhere. The only other place that the Bloggers story is posted is over on Alter Bridges Forum (which is where I assume Hollee 1st saw it).
I find it a little weird too, because only ONE other person has heard of this story and it comes from the same blog:
"roadiegod 10
Hey, crazy! I was there too, I'm working for the production company for the tour. I think it was an awesome thing to do, I talked to the mother a little and she was very worried. The girl never turned up but she did call her mother at set change and talked to her so she was at the show and did get the shout out. The sick puppies are one of the greatest bands out there right now at least in terms of working with them, both Shem and Emma are amazing people with good hearts and everyone wants to bang like mark."
No one else that I could find says that this is true (or says its false). You don't really want to read what else they are saying, but the jist of it is that this was just a marketing scheme to promote Sick Puppies by "Isaymehalot".
So there are a few possibilities here, 1) This didn't even happen and it's all made up by some blogger for whatever reason, 2) This did happen and might have been a marketing ploy that the Blizzard Execs just made up and used Sick Puppies (unknowingly) to implement it, 3) This did really happen and your update is that response from "Roadiegod".
I would like to know someone from the board who actually went to this show and heard this happen.
I'm suprised that Shim would bassically "show his cards" by stating that "Alyssa was caught smoking weed" and "ran away from home", so "heres a backstage pass and your mom is back here". If you're the daughter, there is no way you go up there after hearing that, especially if you're at the concert high. You would figure they would try to lure her to the pupps first, then let the mom swoop in. I could see Shim, Emma, or Mark not wanting to do that if they felt that he didn't want to "trick" the young girl, and would rather her make the choice on her own. Of course the mom could have just wanted a phone call to know she was safe, and according to "Roadiegod", the Pupps accomplished that.
That's what I've found so far anyways
