I am so excited. I just bought 2nd and 3rd Row, Section D Tickets to the Fresno. I am a big ol' FanGirl for Shim. It is going to be my friends 15 Birthday. She is a FanGirl for Shim too. I am not going to tell her; I am just going to kidnap her at like 3 in the afternoon. The show is Oct. 7th, so I am dying. I am currently listening to TriPolar and losing my mind. I still can't believe I bought tickets. I am in Shock that parents even let me get tickets. If I some how get back stage. I will NEVER let go of Shim. I'll hug Mark and Emma, but I won't let go of Shim! I hope she likes her birthday present. It'll be her first concert. To her Fav band

What kind of show is that you have to buy seated tickets? I've never been to a show of theirs that had seats.

Ok. My 9 year old brother just figured out a fan name for the Shim fans. He says we can be Shimlins. You know, like grimlins. Yes my family is weird, but I think I am a Shimlin.

I've met SP once but for sure it was the best moment of my life.
It was in August last year. I was in holidays for 3 weeks in a host family in Denver (I'm French and it was my first time in USA).

I didn't know they would be there and one day with my hostsister i've seen a poster of SP with the date of their show at the bluebird theater! I was like "OMG OMG OMG " Well yes I was crazy!!!! Completly crazy!!!!!

So We've been to the show and I spent the best night of my life screaming all the lyrics of their songs. I mean if Shim had forgotten the lyrics, I would have been there to remind him!

I took pictures but the quality is pretty bad. Here are my favorites :

At the end of the show I've been having their autographs and Shim told me "Thanks for coming from all around the world" or something like that. I was petrified I could not say anything (Or it would have been something like "Hum... well... thank you... hum well ... ) so I just smiled (the biggest smile ever! maybe too much because he could have seen my tonsils)

And now perhaps You are wondering how he knew that I was French ?
Guess I have the answer : I screamed " JE T'AIME SHIMON MOORE" during the show ..... (Yes i know... I'm completly stupid -shame on me- I hope he doesn't hold it against me )

Well it was my story, a stupid one, but during this night, my dream came true!

Shimlin is probably the greatest name ever...

I saw them for the second time at Oxxfest, we blew up white baloons and threw them over the crowd during odd one, (they didn't play white balloons) and while we were throwing them Shim stopped pointed at us and said I like that!

Then later at the merch table i gave him a gnome and he said, "I like that!" again. Of course I went fan girl crazy and now anytime someone says, "I like that!" I freak out.

I also go hugs from them.... It was a lovely day.

i saw them in in Portland,OR on april 27 2011.
at the end of the show i went to get my ticket signed.
when i held it out to shim, he asked me to hold the cap of the sharpie he was using, and of course i was so excited that he was even talking to me, i just kinda held out my hand and stared at him all smiley and stupid
then he handed me back my signed ticket and i walked off....................
it took me a loooooooooong time to realize that shim was calling after me, ''sweetheart, i need my pen cap back.........''
i finally realized he was talking to me when i noticed the sharpie cap in my hand!
when i gave it back to him he was crackin' up along with mark, emma, and the people in line with me.
i felt really stupid, but to this day i'm still just thrilled that he called me ''sweetheart''

I didn't go to the show in Fresno, but I went to one in Sacremento. I am working on some music analysis and I want to do a SP song first any ideas? Thanks!

I just went through all the pages in this thread, with a smile on my face most of the time.
Now I really want to meet them/Shim too! I can imagine conversations in my head, but I would probably be so nervous I wouldn`t be able to say anything

I've got no stories or pictures, but I remember reading a little bulletin for their live concert at the House of Blues and thinking, "What a strange band name." I got into them only a few months later... XD
And now I am hopelessly Shim-obsessed. Oh well.
