I can't wait to see these songs live next week!! And I can't wait to make myself an obscene amount of Tri-Polar ringtones tonight.

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
Again keeping you're going down and war out of the running my top fav's as of today would be :
1) White Balloons
2) I hate you
3) Odd One
All of the songs are really good, some of them just need to grow on me a little more than others. When I first heard the short clips from the amazon website I believe it was I was kinda shocked by the tempo (don't know if it's the right wording) of some of the songs. They don't all have that heavy and hateful tone that Dressed Up As Life has. The tone that we have all come to love. But I get that they are growing and evolving and their lyrics and melodies from this album really reflect that. I don't remember which one it is, but in the very beginning of one of the songs I get some weird Backstreet Boy vibe. Trust me I would know because I'm an old school BSB fan...lol So that song will take me awhile to get used to. Each song has a message and something to prove and brings something different to the table that hasn't been brought before so I'm excited to see them perform these live. Well, I just came from Itunes and left a nice long review of the album. Here's what I wrote and I hope that it helps get Sick Puppies some more fans especially if some are on the fence and can't decide. Some extra $$$$$ doesn't hurt either...haha Write your review now if you haven't already!!!!
"This album is not a disappointment. Just as the title would imply it carries the heavier songs with the more ballad songs and then what I would call the in-between. Deeper meaning to the songs than in their previous record Dressed Up As Life, but a just as good album. Really shows how they have grown & evolved as people and as artists. My personal favorite tracks on Tri-Polar would probably be I hate you and White Balloons, but everyone has their own opinions. Why not listen to them all and see for yourself how amazing this band really is! I know I haven't been able to stop playing Tri-Polar over and over again in my cd player. Sick Puppies are even better if you get the chance to see them live! Never a disappointment. NEVER! They take so much time out to spend it with their fans either online or after their shows. It just shows how much they care and appreciate their fans. How many bands take time out after the shows to sign things, chat, and take photos, honestly?? Shim, Emma, & Mark are 3 of the most awesome down to earth people on this planet who work hard everyday so we can have this amazing music. It's a blessing and a gift. My suggestion is to buy up everything you can get your hands on from Sick Puppies, because this band is going to blow up!!! Lets reward all their hard work and dedication. Sick Puppies for the millionth time I applaud you and thank you! "

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
I've listened to it 3 times already...and my favorites have changed slightly
Riptide
In It For Life
Should've known better
Maybe
So what I lied
I also got the CD on ITunes because I had to have Dead Space ... and...I ♥ it. I love the different vocal ranges that Shim has on this one, as well as on So What I lied ...awesome

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
Faves so far:
Riptide (More Emmer power)
White Balloons (Emmer power)
Master of the Universe (That bass...)
Odd One (I absolutely love the slightly off-beat feel of this one; a very unique and refreshing track)

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
Did you all know that on Itunes there is the Tri-Polar Clean and the Tri-Polar Explicit to review. The explicit has like 33 reviews while the clean has only like 3. I copied and pasted my same review to each.

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
Not a problem. I love to help. Did anybody point out that Tri-Polar is on Aol FULL CD Listening Party??? I've bought some cd's that I was on the fence about after listening to the cd on here. I think that's very cool that they are doing that. I see Daughtry's is there too. I picked up his cd today too. I think its very cool that Sick Puppies today on their twitter tweeted to buy their record along with Leave this Town. VERY COOL OF THEM.

The more I listen to Riptide, the more I like it. It is, by far, my new favorite.

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
I think it's funny how all the people who said they weren't too fond of the ballads/mellow songs and prefer the heavier ones love "White Balloons"
.....not trying to criticize or anything! I think that's pretty ace; it shows that this song can and will appeal to anyone. But as much as I adore it, I just don't see it as a single. Well.....maybe
It IS the only other Tri-Polar song I had instant music video ideas for in my head (the other being "Maybe") I might just shoot a video for both for fun, and to build up my filmmaking portfolio.

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
I LOVE this album, more than DUAL, yes I said it, but w/ DUAL certain songs I had to be in a certain mood but with TP I can just listen to the whole CD whenever!

Re: Thoughts/Favorites on Tri Polar
I still won't compare, they're each special in their own way, it's like apples and oranges for me.
Though I will say that DUAL is the kind of album that can stand the test of time.
