First of all I'd like to say that you guys are one of the most talented bands I have ever listened to! Your Videos are awesome and I can't hear enough of your music. I bought "Tri-Polar" after hearing You're Going Down on 105.7 The x. I heard songs off "Dressed Up For Life" on Myspace and I'm going to buy it on friday.
Your songs My World and Pitiful hit home for me because of my drug addition. If everyone lived in my world for a day they would respect what they have now. My life as a addict has been nothing but pitiful. When I heard 3 songs on "Tri-Polar" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I am new to recovery and it has being a struggle. When I get to the point where all resources have failed I listen to Riptide, Survive, and most of all Maybe. Believe it or not but these 3 songs have kept me from using many times! Being in recovery is all about change. Listening to Maybe over and over helps me with the transition from a using addict to a recovering addict! Survive gives me the inspiration I need to overcome my urges to use drugs! Riptide assures me that my life is much better now that I'm in recovery.
With out your music I'm sure I would be back out. For that, I am forever grateful to you and everyone invovled in the production of your music. I hope Peoria, Il is going to be on your tour. I can't wait to see your show! I wanted to go to St. Louis or one of the other shows close to Peoria but I just don't have the money right now. I am slowly getting on mt feet but I'll be ready when you get back to Illinois.
I can never thank you enough for what your music has done for me!
Your dedicated, grateful fan,
Donnie
P.S.
I do have many questions to ask you, but I felt the need to express my gratitude!

Re: A Rocker in Recovery
Good to hear you're on the path to recovery man. I've got quite a few members who have been deep into drugs for many years, despite many efforts very few of them have made a change or really tried to stop.
