although its not really a favorite of mine off tripolar i really think they should release Maybe as the next single. It seems really really radio friendly and i can totally see it getting some massive airtime...

I'd say either White Balloons or Odd One...they would be a good contrast to You're Going Down.

I actually think Maybe would make an amazing single if they plan on releasing a softer song, but if they want to do another heavy song, I'd go for Riptide or So What I Lied.

I think Riptide or So What I Lied. (Though is Riptide out as a single now? My radio station has been playing it a ton lately). I also really like I Hate You. That definitely has the makings of a really popular single.

As much as I love White Balloons, I don't think it would be a very successful single.

^^^ Agreed, I like the idea of Maybe, lot's of mass appeal, probably the most commercial song on the album. It would help attract a wider audience & spread the fanbase (IMHO)

I Hate You for me as well. Hearing it in regular rotation on 99.9 The Buzz has made me realize how well it works among other rock singles. It's also my favorite non-single song on Tri-Polar, and the perfect single to go along with the previous two (technically one, but close enough).

I think if its a hard song it should be I Hate You, its a bit more radio friendly for rockers than SWIL- Soft id say Riptide it's hard not to like the song whether you like hard or soft.....I dont think Maybe would do well at all its the weakest song on tri-polar IMO and its like the pure opposite of YGD

If I could pick it would be "Riptide", but If I were to guess I would say it will be "Odd One" because the song has personal meaning to the band, and a lot of people can relate to it.

I agree with Becky..."So What I Lied" or "Riptide". Though it's hard to pick one because I adore "White Balloons" it's by far my favorite on the album. BUT I have been to so many concerts recently that the crowd is drawn to anything that they can rock out too.

Making maybe a single after YGD wouldn't be a smart move, but either I hate you, Riptide, or So what I lied are my picks. I voted for I hate you for a few reasons: 1) They already play it live where as "So what i lied" doesn't seem to be a part of their set list. and 2) lyrically, I think it would appeal to more people than riptide.
