I've heard shim call Mark "The Ayatollah of Rock'n'Rolla" twice now. Is it an intentional reference to "Heartbreak Ridge"?

He uses that reference to Mark when they play Nothing Really Matters.

Maybe I'll have to ask Shim the next time I'm getting something signed.

You could also ask in the Ask the Band thread on here as one of your monthly questions. Thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=18&p=171902#p171902

Mark is easily one of the more underated drummers today. He has a great ear for hooks, fills, and knows how to mix it up with some raw intensity. Anybody else think Travis Barker? One of his infulences maybe? I'll agree with Shim though. He's drumming defnetly comes out best on "Nothing Really Matters". Hell that whole album was amazing.
