Sick Puppies and Hockey

2 years ago when I first heard War, I knew it would be a kicka$$ hockey song (I am a total hockey nut- Go Penguins!). Anyway I have been bugging and bugging my local AHL team to play Sick Puppies (War and You're Going Down). They used both songs a little bit for the past 2 seasons.
Well this year my team is doing awesome and they start playoffs on Friday. The playoff theme this year is "Let's Do This" and the team comes out to War. 
My mouth hit the floor when I first heard it.

My team (Red Wings) starts the playoffs against the team where I live (Phoenix) and I just bought tickets!

haha! I have "War" as a custom song on my NHL 11! It's just a great all-around pump up/sport song. Unfortunately my favorite hockey team (Atlanta Thrashers) isn't making the playoffs this year. Hopefully they can come through strong next season, strengthen their fanbase, and not get relocated. It's funny that their even my favorite team, as I live nowhere near Georgia

That's so awesome!! I just went to a bruins game and i thought for sure they would play either ygd or war (based on the other songs they played) but they didnt..

They play YGD and War at the Coyotes games too. Sometimes at the wrong moments but thats the Coyotes.

I like how they showed the footage to the beat of the song, nice! What a song to get you pumped up, right?

Ohh and they use and play this song because of me.
Matt was at the game the other night and talking to the guy that makes the videos and chooses what songs to use and he said that some girl kept emailing about using the song (me ) and he finally listened to it and used it.
