I used to play bass and guitar and it is one of the trickier songs. What parts are you having a problem with?

Let me try and work on some tabs for you over the weekend. I work night/third shift so it really messes up my days but I'll get them to you as soon as I can. Any specific song you'd like me to work on first?
Emma really is by far a great inspiration! Last time I played guitar and bass was back in mid 2006 and I pretty much forgot how to play since I taught myself to begin with. After a couple meet and greets Emma really inspired me to pick up my guitar and bass and reteach myself.

Has Emma ever mentioned her infullenaces? I mean, I know she's said Green Day and Silverchair where her favorite bands, but favorite bands don't always translate to infullecing your playing. I love the hell out of metal drumming, but can't do it for sh*t.
She gets compared to Flea alot, but I'm thinking that's mostly because there not that many bass players known by name and he's just the perfect example. But that'd be like comparing ever drummer to John Bonham, Keith Moon, or Neil Pert (Oh wait they already do..lol) I can see her being infllunced by Silverchair's bass playing (spacing on the bassist now but he's pretyy damn good) but I really hope Mike Drint isn't one. For the simple reason that she's done more with bass in a few short years then he has in an entire carrear. Love you Mike, love Green Day, but Emma comletey demolishes him.

Emma's playing was one of the big things that turned me on to Sick Puppies to begin with - I went to a show to see a friend of a friend's band - Framing Hanley - and the Puppies were headlining. Never heard of them prior to that.
Emma's kind of a rare thing in the bass community - she's capable of playing far more complex stuff, but serves the song. She plays combination of pick and slap, and about 90% of the time it's pick. If I'm not missing my guess, she's playing a four string tuned CGCF, but I've only actually learned a few tunes from Tri-Polar for my cover band - so I just learn the tunes in standard tuning. It's a pain in the butt to switch basses for one or two tunes.
Comparatively, I would actually probably compare her more to Mike Inez (from Alice in Chains), if you mixed in some mellowed-out Ryan Martinie (from Mudvayne). Somewhere in between.

When I first heard them, it was live and I had no idea who they were. They opened for Motley Crue so I didn't really care. But when they came on stage, I realized they had a female bassisst, and even better a HOT female bassisst. Not only was I impressed by her looks but her PLAYING. O my god she hit those bass strings so hard. One of the greatest I've seen. I didn't know she could sing until I heard Tri-Polar. Her vocals on White Balloons are like an angel singing. I can't wait until they release some more music, and maybe letting Emma sing lead on an entire song???

Emma is like the best bass player. My Dad me and my BFF all think so. If you compare her and the bass player from 3 Doors Down (example) she is defently like 100 times better.

Emma is different from your standard bass player. They like to hide near the back and just play....but Emma. She gets up there and captures everyones attention
Plus, Emma isn't "just some bassist". She has created her own unique style and technique - something every good bassist should have.

When she plays I can loose everything around me, Kind of like when your deep in thought and then snap out of it. Emma your better than Flea and I think all others should be compared to you!!
