Mark Goodwin is my hero.

I can honestly say that after a few years of listening to SP, Mark (and Jimmy Sullivan) inspired me to pick up my first pair of drumsticks. Emma had a big influence on me starting to play too, because at first I was scared of what people would say since I'm a girl. After a while, seeing Emma rock out like she does, and listening to Mark's work, I got the courage to go to my local music shop and get my very first pair of drumsticks. I'm very proud of the fact that Mark was the one to inspire me, because he is such a powerful and talented musician. I guess after a while of getting the hang of drums I started singing under my breath, I really didn't make much of it until I thought I was ready to mix vocals with my drum playing.
You can say all of Sick Puppies have inspired me artistically.
Emma made me feel comfortable, being a girl and playing an instrument and having extreme passion for it.
Mark is obviously one of my biggest influences when drumming,
Shim is the only reason I sing, because at first i was way too shy with my voice.

Good for you! I agree that music in general, but especially rock, needs more females. And that Emma is doing a great job of showing everyone how awesome that can be, and I am sure she is inspiring more women than we know. You go for it if that's what makes you happy. I am proud of ya! The Pups, in general, have inspired me to sing along louder and prouder to any song I like. hehe. Music has always been a huge inspiration and emotional release for me when singing along. I get into it. I really rock out in my car alone ALOT and belt it out--and I am gaining more confidence by the day.
I would love to sing in a band, haha, but I have no band! And I can't play any instrument as of yet. haha. However, a girl can dream and sing along to other great artists for now.
