Introducing Jessica Ott
"LunaiStar"
When did you first hear about the band?
I had heard a few songs here and there on the radio, but never really paid much attention until this past spring, when my best friend at the time introduced me by telling me to look up “All the Same.” After hearing that for the first time, I was hooked! (and yes, that best friend became my boyfriend, but that’s a different story entirely!)
What is your favorite song?
It changes quite often. At the moment, it would have to be “The Bottom.”
Where are you from?
Ranson, WV (it often gets confused as its neighboring town, Charles Town)
Why do you love them?
Sick Puppies are a huge inspiration to me, both musically and emotionally. I love trying to figure out Sick Puppies tunes on piano (and singing them at random moments of the day!). And also, I have Sick Puppies to thank for helping me get through a tough time in my past relationship. “Don’t Walk Away” and “Maybe” had helped quite a lot during that time.
