Introducing Nicky Mohr, our Fan of the Week!
When did you first hear about the band?
"I think it was about 6 years ago when the free hugs video came out, I remember my boyfriend at the time sent me the video and I just loved it and I kept tabs on the band...but I think it was when You're Going Down came out that I really fell in love with them."
What is your favorite song?
''It may sound strange but my favorite song is 'Pitiful'. I love so many of their songs it's hard to choose, 'You're Going Down' was my ring entrance song when I played the WWE video game and 'My World' is the song I most relate to, sadly.''
When did you become an ambassador?
''About 2 years or go give or take.''
What do you feel has been the most meaningful part of your experience as an ambassador?
"Exposing the world to the band. Their music and their personalities are so amazing, I feel like it's my job to make sure everyone will love them as much as I do."
Where are you from?
"Israel!"
When you met Sick Puppies, which part of that opportunity is the most cherished and memorable for you?
"I felt like I put Israel on the map by telling them they have fans there and how much they mean to us...but I think my most cherish moment was when I asked Shim for a pic and I was getting ready to just stand next to him and be grateful to even be there and all of a sudden he stepped behind me and hugged me and said that he wants us to look like a couple in the pic. I was completely shocked. When my friend took the picture he asked to look at it and said that we don’t look cute enough and we should try a few more times. It was so funny because in every single picture that we took I looked like I'm about to faint and he looked like he really liked me. He really took the fan experience to another level and I will forever be grateful for that."
Why do you love them?
"Because they are so much more than just good musicians, they actually care about their fans. They take the time to get to know them when they can, they interact with the crowd like no other band I've even seen live and that makes them the best there is."
Fun Facts:
"Emma was the one who recruited me to the world crew, she told me about the forum and said that I should join so I can keep in touch with the band and meet other fans.
My favorite superhero is Thor.
I flew all the way from Israel to the US (3 flights, 24 hours) to see the band live on stage because they haven't been to Israel yet.
