Introducing Karyl Richards, our Fan of the Week!



Karyl's Sick Puppies story:
"A few years ago, I got a random call at work one day from a local radio station (94.7) in Anchorage, Alaska asking my permission to release tix to see The Sick Puppies to my then 14 year old son that he had just won in a daily contest. They had to get permission before they could tell him he won, so I knew before he did. Then I got his dad in on it and I got to hear him on the radio when he found out he'd won. It was a very cool day. Needless to say I had absolutely no idea who you guys [Sick Puppies] were, so before his dad and I agreed he could go we had many discussions and I listened to his CDs and have been hooked ever since. He has seen you twice and I had the privilege of seeing you in Wasilla, AK with him a couple of years ago. It was a great outdoor show. Small and intimate. I still have my autographed shirt. And then...last Christmas my secret Santa gave me a CD of your first album which blew me away! I love to read Shim's emails and keep up with the crew when I can. That 14 yr old is now almost 17, in college, and rocks the grill at the local McDonalds. I like it that you all have helped bring us together through your music. It's fun to share our thoughts and moods about songs. And remembering how it all started. What a kick. And that's why this 51 yr. old grandma wants to be your fan of the week. I'm so happy to see good kids, making great music that just makes you feel like jammin!!!! Rock on Sick Puppies!!"

Great story! I hear about so many fans from Alaska and I sure hope they can go back!
