I said this in the tripolar tuesday thread but figured id tell it again. I had like the worst day at work on tuesday, like really bad. Then it took me forever to get Tripolar and when i finally listened to the cd i was so happy. Then Odd One came on and the lyrics totally got to me. With the horrible day at work and other stuff going on in my life right now its like this song was written for me. You know that feeling? Yah i cried, just a little but still.

Odd One is my fav song on the album I love the guitars, lyrics, vocals espcially for the short where Emma comes on/ I'm just obsessed with every part of this song

I really connect with this song, i was always the odd one in my family, and even socially..

I just really connect with these lines. I've battled with acceptance all my life...most of us have..., it hasnt been till recently that I've somewhat gave up caring.

I'm really glad this is a regular on the set list!

I really like this song alot. When I first bought my sister this album the first thing she told me was that she thinks of me whenever she hears that song. And ever since then we have called it my song because I have always been the odd one, who never really what to do and was socially awkward. Recently that has changed but I still look to it for inspiration when people are trying to get me down. :smile:

I love this song it reminds me so much of me! I got the part "Don't let someone
tell you you're no-one" tattooed on my left forearm as a constant reminder to never let anyone but you down and no matter how bad things may get remember that you will always be someone no matter what people say!

This song makes me think about myself:) It's really funny because one day in school my teacher said "You sure are an Odd One, aren't you Michaela?". I've always been different than everyone else. Not even my "friends".
It also reminds me of my little brother. He's 8 and he's bullied so much by our step-brother and step-mom. They call him fat, stupid, retard and tell him he's stupid and worthless. It makes me cry.

Mikki, That is awful that your step brother and step mom bully your little brother! There is nothing wrong with being different. I felt the same way growing up and now being in college I am happy to be different. I wouldn't want to be a cookie cutter copy like everyone else. :hug:
