Seattle, Wa. - Bumbershoot Festival 5 September 2009

[Odd One]

I live in Portland OR but the band isn’t coming to Portland on this tour or with Shinedown so Bumbershoot was my opportunity to see them this summer. My seven year old son, Sam, is also a huge fan & he hadn’t seen them yet. This was an all ages show so we made plans to go up to Seattle for the day, the highlight being Sick Puppies!

The show was unreal. Shim was working the crowd, he is a true showman & he has a lot of freakin’ energy!! Emma was stunning, amazing bass work & I love the fan / hair thing. (Am I also allowed to say she’s incredibly hot here??!?) Mark blows me away, I sort of play drums & I have to say, he kicks ASS!!! Emma & Mark are phenomenal together. I was looking forward to hearing some of the tunes from the new CD & I wasn’t disappointed. Sam had a blast, it was his first show. Wish my first show had been Sick Puppies.

After the show, Sam got to meet the band & have his CD & hat autographed. Emma wrote “To Sam” on the CD. It was really cute. Sam has a crush on her I think (me too!)

Sounds like you and your son had a really amazing time ! Shim, Emma and Mark certainly do rock the stage when they perform .
Very cool that it was Sam's first show and that he got to meet them - I am sure his friends will be jealous

Cool can't wait to see the pics! I didn't bring my camera because my friend told me that if any of the staff saw you with a camera they would confiscate and destroy it. Which I thought was bull so I didn't bring it. I wish I could have cause they were takin pictures with people after the M & G. So I was pretty mad about that. I also couldn't stay for the rock prophecies signing which was a bummer. But oh well. All in all it was an absolutely amazing concert!!!:-)

I loved this concert! Especially when they did say my name. Everybody was soo pumped!
