I'm so excited that the Pups are coming back to Tulsa. This will be my 7th SP concert in the last two years. I'm also planning on going to OKC and Springfield....who knows maybe even Dallas. I'm not a stalker, just persistent.

Just got back home from the Tulsa concert (This was my 7th SP concert). Here is the skinny on the evening

Quick Show Review:
The crew seemed to have trouble with fine tuning the gear after the first band played. Understandable because this is only the 2nd stop on the tour. The crowd was getting restless and swearing at the crew (uncalled for IMO, but I know how hard these guys work to get it right). Then of course you hear the familiar "rage against the machine- bulls on parade” tune...and you know what is coming next. Shim quickly had the crowd rocking with "War" and from then on it was business as usual for the band. Shim being the showman that he is, Mark and the "Hair Flips", and Emma rocking on the bass like only Emma can. The show was great and I got to talk to Paul for a little bit afterwards (he cracks me up).

One question I do have is after the concert when the band usually does the pictures with the fans. They are having a crew member take the picture with their camera and not yours, and then they give you a card with a website URL where you can download it. What is up with this? Is it because Samsung is sponsoring the tour? Not sure if they charge you or just want your personal info. All the same (no pun intended) it was a great show

I'll post pics when I can. I’m off to bed for a few hours then work…blah…then headed to OKC for the next show. I’ll try and take the gnome in with me, so if you see someone caring around a pointy red hat gnome it is me or my wife.

Not sure why Serge, I know the opening band played two extra songs after they said they were done. Not sure if SP wasn't ready/back from Wal-Mart yet, or if they were making up for the lack of Veer Union.

I double checked Emma's set list and they did have 14 songs listed so it was planned.

How much were tix? The only main band we had was SP, no Veer Union or Hurt

*Edit* I feel like a dummy, price was up there lol. Same price as our shows.

I'm sure they are taking the pictures because of the Samsung sponsorship. At the CD launch, they were really promoting the new Samsung Memior (sp?). It is their new phone with an 8 mp camera. I just about guarantee that is what they are using to take the pictures...

Sounds awesome but I can't believe Hurt was the headliner. I hope that they are switching back and forth as I will have to miss Hurt to get my Emma, Shim, and Mark time in. And I really want to see Hurt as they kick ass but not as much as the Sick Puppies. The picture thing sounds cool and not so cool. I just hope that we can get a pix with all of them in pix this time as the hunched over thing does suck but I can deal with it as they are great with their fans...Oh well hopefully I can get some pix posted from one of our shows. It sucks that they are coming to our town when I already have a concert planned...It is almost worth missing Bullet for my Valentine and Marilyn Manson to go see them. But having Pit and Early entry tickets I will just have to wait for them at X-Fest (Which we have pit for)!

It doesn't ask which show I attended. I'm not sure if this is linked to the mailing list sheet at the show or not. Maybe you get to see all the pics from all the shows.

The whole "download your photo" idea is another way to ensure that all their fans are/already have signed up for the World Crew newsletter and such. Hope that helps and thanks for the review of the show!

This was a small show and they didnt sell as many tix as they have in the past. Maybe cuz they werent the headliner....Im not sure. Jerry waws wrapping paper around me and stamping me with a stamp. Punk! The crowd didnt seem all the into it. I did meet some nice people. After the show I was helping Jerry and the band with CD's and security approached me and kicked me out. Stupid! I was the lead Ambassador but already purchased tix so I used them instead of guest list tix. I did not get pics of this show.
