You know what, I might actually go to this show....I'm already going to be in California....but my question would be this "Is Anchorage in the cold part of Alaska or not?" Not that cold weather is going to stop me from rocking!

It will definitely be cold in Anchorage at that time of year!!

And they actually draw a pretty good crowd whenever they play in AK. A friend of mine who lived there for a long time said that when there is a show, people go regardless of who it is or if they know the band, because so few acts come through there.

Okaay, im glad someone knows about the concert being put off, and yes, It IS cold in anchorage right now, but very pretty, aaand The Sick Puppies have played up here two times, a couple of shows. Ive went to one show, and it was insanely awesome, and they were great, and it was packed, I think that is why they've booked the bigger venue. Plus, the opening bands pretty much rock, I hope I answered your questions, I am actually in alaska. and no, we do not live in igloos, and yes, we do have walmarts, targets, starbucks and all that good junk.

added to her post I live in Anchorage as well. I was bummed that I was gonna miss the Jan 8th show but was happy when I found out it was postponed but kinda bummed at the new venue (the sound system SUCKS! like really) But I was gonna go anyway but it's on my dead brothers birthday and my family wants a 5 year memorial so I really cant go but really want to. But yeah It's gonna be packed it's gonna be good even if the sound system DOES suck (hey try for the EGEN!) anyways thats my 2 cents.

mmkay, i just wanted to tell yall, IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!! And I think those guys really do love alaska, its their what? Fifth time being up here? So yeah, i can see them coming back allot more in the future, and i'll be there for every show!
