Haha, that's so true! I got handshakes at the autograph table last year, and one from Shim this year, but Mark and Emma were busy signing my guitar. I definitely understand a no-physical-contact policy, though, especially with swine flu season coming up.

Actually when I went to there concert at bumbershoot emma gave hugs and hand shakes to people. So if she is germaphobe it doesn't bother her too much. Shim also shook my hand at the meet and greet too. There an awesome group of people.

I too have had a handshake & a "man hug" from Shim. He put his arm around my son's shoulder last weekend for a couple of photo's.

Emma signed my shirt at a show last year but can't recall if we actually made physical contact (you'd think I'd remenber that LOL!)

I'm an anti-germaphobe. I eat food that I've dropped on the floor. I grow a vegatable garden every year & will pull a carrot out of the ground, wipe it on my sleeve & eat it. I figure my immune system is designed to resist germs so as long as that is working I should be OK, though I don't think that is 100% true!
