Welcome to the board. I also play guitar, about to switch to bass for a new project. What is your favorite brand of guitar to play? I love my Fender Strat and Gibson SG.

Damanley: I'm better on my bass than guitar, and I have quite litterally no money, so I have a horrible guitar that I can luckily say is not mine, it's that bad; however, I have a decent Hohner acoustic which is ok, and by bass is an Ibanez Gio, again not that great, but it works. I am trying hard to find a job so I can save up to get a better guitar. What do you recomend? I myself like Ibanez guitars, but I can work with anything. Obviously if I had the money I'd probably get a Les Paul or a good Fender or something, I played my friend's Les Paul and it was great.

That's pretty awesome. Yeah I found my Ibanez for 150 with amp and gig pack on craigslist... awesome find! I did notice Ibanez does seem to have more of that shredding sound, but I like that. I don't really mind what I get actually, no matter what it is it will be an improvement from what I'm borrowing... which is an El Torro... worst thing I've ever played haha.

Oh, and that looks like a decent bass... like you said, good enough. Not too many people really want to play bass it seems though... which is actually kind of nice, because you can get a nice bass for fairly cheep compaired to a good guitar.

Ahaha might as well be. Worst band of guitar I have ever played lol. I'm going to get a better one once I have the money to get one. Yeah craigslist is a great place to find stuff, I found a guitar that I want but I don't have any money for it on there lol, but hopefully I'll get some soon.
