A little hard to believe, but until SP was on WWE I had never heard of the band. I decided to see what they sounded like. 'My World' was the first song I listened to. I really liked it so I listened to another one. 'All The Same' sealed the deal.
I went to f.y.e. and bought DUAL. I fell on love with literally every song on the CD. So when Tri-Polar was released, I bought it too. As I listened, I noticed I didn't listen to Linkin Park as I preferred 'the new band' more.
I checked the site multiple times and to my surprise and joy, SP was coming to New Orleans. As it got closer I found out they were going to be playing at a more local club and then the Hard Rock the night after N.O. I got a shirt custom air-brushed.
Went to both or those concerts instead. That's the basic story of how Sick Puppies overtook Linkin Park in my musical life as my favorite band.

Hmm favorite song... it started out being Pitiful as its easy to reflect my life. Well the daily grind and never seeming to go anywhere. Then it was A**hole Father just for the anger.
As for my current favorite one now, it really depends on the mood. If I'm feeling fiery, You're Going Down. Feeling blue, Maybe and Odd One. However, I can listen to Riptide and White Balloons anytime.
All and all, Riptide would be my favorite if I really had to choose lol

I've actually got a lot of family in Mississippi, of course I haven't talked to them in YEARS (dads side of my family, and he split a long time ago) but yeah they live in a little town called Ponatoc (I think?)
