Sounds like the same set list as last year at higher ground...which was awesome!

So guys. Seriously. I think we should all try to meet up and go to Al's french fries or something. A SPWC hang out would be really cool...i should be around about 4:00 so if anyone's there that early maybe we can meet at higher ground? You know, if you guys actually wanna hang for a bit...

Such an amazing show!! Crash Kings kicked ass!! I love their songs Mountain Man, 1985, and You Got Me. Janus was okay, but they sound like a Chevelle rip off and didn't even scream on their heavy songs which is all I gave them credit for. SP absolutely killed it. It was really funny cause at one point they asked how many people had been to an SP show before and everyone cheered but then when they did their cover of "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child no1 had any idea what they were up to, when we've seen them rock it 3 times already in the past. I also thought it was relevant to note that they set it to the production/guitar riffs of Green Day's 'Brain Stew' which a lot of people don't make the connection on but makes it even more bad ass. I didn't get to write down the whole setlist but I do know that they performed (in no specific order):

War
Riptide
You're Going Down
Odd One
Survive
Maybe
Should've Known Better
My World
Pitiful
Cancer
All The Same
Say My Name (Destiny's Child cover)

If anyone logged the entire set from first song onward, please post it!!!

Shim taking off his shirt and jumping into the crowd. :surprised: He was so riled up......what a turn on  He remembered me when I went to go buy my "sh*t" as he puts it. He said I remember you. You bought all that "sh*t" last year...haha awww I'm in love with Shim and his "sh*t"...lol  Hope everyone else enjoyed the show. I'm pissed they didn't allow cameras or any pictures at all. I wanted another pic w/the pups.

After "downloading" ( my word for gossiping ) all the information to my mom about last nights concert, my mom was nice enough to give me the day off of work to rest up for next weeks Valentine's Day. I told her that I was good to come in that Shim energized me that I was pumped. I always start my mornings off with a good "LET'S DO THIS!" so motivational those 3 words. Who would have thunk that 3 words could have such power.
Just wanted to add in from my previous post that for the first time I used ear plugs...what a wonderful investment!! Right before the pups set I took them out. I could hear Shim perfectly! I was so happy. I think it helped that the opening bands were decent. No fainting, passing out, overheating instances this time! I sure hope that they come back around August time frame. My love and respect for them constantly grows. I mean they manage to get better and better. How can you beat perfection but everytime...they do!
Couple of things that I wanted to say that I witnessed. Eventually I became 4th or 5th in line and was looking over at the pups periodically. Of course I didn't want to take my eyes off of them, but didn't want to seem like a crazy stalker. I hope Shim's not sick. I did see him doing alot of sniffling at the merch tent. It was at a slight dull in the merch line (people were taking a while in picking out what they wanted) so Shim got up to stretch and was looking for someone. He then either mouthed or said quietly man I gotta pee bad. Poor Shim had to pee really bad while he was signing stuff at the merch tent!! He was stuck signing things as he couldn't find the guy he was looking for. I'm guessing some kind of security guard to walk him to the potty??. He was only about 2/3 done the line too. He was sitting next to the guys from Janus and they were drinking beer so Shim asked for one. They handed him a beer and he started to drink it. I don't see how drinking the beer is going to help the having to pee situation  Maybe just get him intoxicated so he forgets that he has to pee. Next thing I know he's handing his beer off to a guy in the crowded merch line. When I saw that he said he had to pee, I wanted to jump in and be like ok everyone hold up give the man a couple of minutes...man needs to urinate here! Give the guy his space and he'll be back shortly. What a trooper though he just continued to sign merch and personally thank and speak with every fan that waited in line to buy "sh*t"...haha that's gonna be my new favorite word. He just acted like everything was great, normal. "sh*t" is such a broad vague word. Could mean anything.
As I was making my way to the merch tent after the show I thought I saw the line getting longer and longer and was like crap the line is going right out the door this is going to take forever and they aren't going to have any merch left....NOPE! It was a buttload of people leaving. I was like WTF, didn't you listen to a word this man just said? He said don't forget about us and leave, we'll never forget about you.(Which I thought was beautiful btw  ) Maybe they had curfews or whatever but man to not get the pleasure of those what 30 seconds that you get to personally talk to them, thank them, and tell them how much you love and appreciate them is EPICALLY PRICELESS. :evillaugh: haha I think I coined a new phrase. Feel free to use it. That would be cool to copy those PRICELESS ads with my phrase EPICALLY PRICELESS.

Sick Puppies Ticket.............................$16
Round Trip Ferry Ride To and From VT....$18
Seeing the Pups Sell Out Higher Ground and rock our faces off...EPICALLY PRICELESS!

Well big thank you to 99.9 the buzz for having another awesome show. Oh to those of you who weren't able to go, check out 99.9 the buzz website on monday. The DJ said that they have video of Shim bowling a strike at the bowling alley "in a unique way". That's Shim for ya. He's so awesome  I can't wait to see what crazy thing he does next. He's just so well rounded and multi talented.
K I'm rambling because I'm just so excited to have seen the pups again but yet bummed that its over already. Just gotta remember that I can't have Shim all for myself that I have to learn to share... Its like I'm back in Kindergarden and don't want to share my crayons! :ugh: On a crazy wacky sidenote, if Shim and the pups were a crayon color what color would each of them be and y? lol Sounds like a question for a beauty pageant. World Peace!! Alright I'm gonna hit the bed to get some more sleep. Hope everyone who went had a great time. I know I met jls07 after the show.
Next time we need pictures!! I did see 2 girls taking photos (SPWC members possibly) I think someone last year had pointed out that they follow them around to all the shows. I wonder if the pics are for personal use or for marketing. They were taking pictures from front and side stages I believe. ok sleepy sleepy bye bye

I love how Shim calls everyone in the crowd "my friends", he loves and gets the crowd participation going, and has contests to see who can yell the loudest (men vs. women). He was so funny he said f*ck guys what are we going to do. Women win everytime!! Such a gentleman  .

Yeah yeah yeah! I was lazy and sat out in my car for like 2hrs. At about 7 o' clock I went and stood in line. I was back by the end of the building..I had view of the bus which was cool. So I only had about 40min in the cold but that was still long enough. I can't see how some people can wait for hours without getting frostbite, etc. More power to ya if you can...much more badass than I  ,but again that's not saying much. Hopefully Sick Puppies will be back in August and we can meet again. Any chances we could get an acoustic Sick Puppies Show at Higher Ground or is that not really Higher Grounds thing? I would like to see the difference as well if it were not an all ages show. All the shows I've been to have been all ages. I don't know if that would be a good or bad thing.

I was telling my mom that Shim stage dove and suggested next time that he should lose the pants as well...lol  She just laughed. I want to get her to a concert to meet them...she jokingly says that they aren't real that they are carboard cutouts that I'm getting my picture with...haha She's like sure you are going to see Sick Puppies. On the kyte chat he said hello to me by name after I introduced myself and I had her watching over my shoulder and she was floored like really he just said your name! Every now and then I catch her singing Sick Puppies which makes me so proud. She'll either sing Odd One Or You're Going Down. My 3 1/2 yr old nephew loves You're going down. Its easy words for him to say. He has a speaking disorder where the words don't come out right but you can make out what he is trying to say. We'll be riding to the store or he'll be playing his favorite game on the playstation and just out of nowhere he'll yell "one of us is going down". I'll have to see if I can get him on my flipcamera one of these days and post it here. he has a hard time saying S's so it kinda comes out Tick Puppy..instead of Sick Puppies. He can say Emma well, mark so so and shim comes out sounding like Tim. I bought my sister and nephew each a dog tag necklace. I think my nephew is going to love it.

Six times I've seen Sick Puppies at Higher Ground, and it only gets better each time. This was my first time as an Ambassador, and I wore my laminate, but then I realized that it didn't really mean anything except that I could show the band, so I got it signed. I don't know if that's something people do, but whatever. I also got the new tour shirt, which I absolutely love the front of, and i got that and my ticket signed. I brought my friend and his girlfriend that I've brought to the last 2 shows (well technically, he brought me since he drove this time), as well as another friend who I just recently introduced to Sick Puppies. The first thing he said after losing his Sick Puppies virginity was something that I knew he would say, since it's something we all feel after each time we see them: "That's what I call a f*cking show!" We spent the 2-hour ride home talking about all the highlights of the show. The encore (like anyone who has seen them before thought they had really finished) of Nothing Really Matters was so awesome. The jumping up and down gets you so pumped. Then we got to see the individual talented musicianship of the band members as they got their solos. I remember that Shim didn't do a stage dive last show, which was a little disappointing, but this time, he even took his shirt off. I'm not a fan of holding up a half naked man, but it makes the girls happier, so good on you, Shim. By that point, I was one person from the front somewhere near the center/Shim-side, so I got the full force of it. So much awesome packed in to just the last few minutes. I was much happier with the opening bands this time. I'd say my favorite was Crash Kings, then Violent Soho, then Janus. As much I like to be in the show early, it was way too cold outside, so shortly before doors opened, we sat in my friend's car and waited until we saw people moving in. Lazy, I know, but I can't stand it when it's that cold outside. I think I just recounted the evening in reverse. Weird. Anyway, that's it for now. Great show, and I can't wait until they come back.

If anyone has any video of Should've Known Better, I would LOVE to see it. I have yet to see/hear that song live and I'm pretty jealous they played it for y'all last night.

Here's some pics uploaded to UpVenue.com from the show, including a shot of the setlist.

aww thank you for the pics...of course my favorite are the smiling shim pics  any idea why all of a sudden they didn't allow cameras??? I think that if they are going to do stuff like that they need to make people aware of it before buying their ticket. Is it because of the blinding of lights? The use of the pics and videos online? This was my 3rd show and they allowed pics at the others two shows. The bands didn't even take any pictures. I think many if not all of us were pretty bummed about that.
