You think it's all just playing, fun and games
You're treating it like a joke
Some people say they wanna be me
This life can be very deceiving
It's just your state of mind

As random as it may be for some reason I think Sick Puppies would be PERFECT to cover
The theme song to friends for those of you who don't know. For some reason the way the music is organized, the way the lyrics are I think they could put a little rock spin on it and it would just be awesome.

Re: What song would you like to hear Sick Puppies cover?
So - I got into a little trouble on FB with this. I just saw them in Ft. Wayne, IN, last night...and am heading to Indy tomorrow before seeing down the street from where I live at the Riv in Chicago on Sat.
I'm all for them eliminating Say My Name from their set list. They've played it at every show I've ever seen...and thats easily 10+ and counting.
Last nite, for example, they played Say My Name with an interlude of Pants on the Floor. I know it's personal opinion...but I really thought it took away from the show. The people in Ft. Wayne didn't really know SP that well (for ex., they could barely sing along with My World)...but people were definitely digging them. It didn't seem to fit in at all. I dunno, I'm just ready for them to shelve it I guess.
Obviously, I'm biased, but think that they're far superior than to sing a cover song at all, especially at the expense of songs like Anywhere But Here or even Nothing Really Matters...which were left out.
Whattya Think?

I'd actually like to see them cover The Who's Baba O'Rielly.

Any Silverchair song, something from their earlier releases might fit SP better.
"Isreal's Son" would be cool.

Re: Songs You'd Like the Sick Puppies to Cover
Yeah gotta say no band is to superior like these guys said ^. BB's cover of Dream On was great and they actually (not as much lately) but have always covered tons of Tool songs, definitely gets the crowd cover.
Most ppl know I'm a die hard LP fan and even being as big as they are they still do covers, here's one they used to do quite often and a great one at that
(Just sux to see all the comments saying "THIS COVER F**KING SUX" etc.) A cover isn't supposed to be the same song
I think it's so cool that some bands, no matter how big they get, still pay homage to other artists they respect.

Re: Songs You'd Like the Sick Puppies to Cover
I already posted I think a long time ago, but haven't been able to stop thinking about cover songs that would be cool for the pups to do..
I don't know how this one came into my head I think I was just thinking about well known bands of yesterday...I was born in the early 80's. I thought of Bon Jovi...so maybe "wanted dead or alive".
"I been everywhere, still I'm standing tall
I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
'Cause I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride
I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive
'Cause I'm a cowboy, I got the night on my side
I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive
And I ride, dead or alive
I still drive, dead or alive
Dead or alive
Dead or alive
Dead or alive
Dead or alive"

Re: Songs You'd Like the Sick Puppies to Cover
I want them to cover the Doom Song.
The next time they stop outside my f*cking house, I'm gonna drag them out the back door and...
*KnockKnock*
Who's there?
Max.
Max? Max who?
Makes no difference OPEN THE DOOR!
I lost the game.
