Most Embarrassing Moments @ Sick Puppies Concert

Hey Everyone,

Now, I know we talk about all these GREAT things that happens at the shows but what about those embarrassing moments that still make your face go !!
I'll start with mine:

Date: October 15, 2009
Show: Remington's Hunt Club: Hattiesburg, MS

It was after there show and my friend, Rae and I was heading outside to go home when we saw Mark and Derek (Adelitas Way) outside. Went up to both of them and told them they did an great job. Can't remember what all I did say (pretty sure it was something random and silly, lol). But I told Mark, I use to download their music. Mark said, "You should never admit to an artist that you download their music" !! Then I told him, "but I made up for it by buying both your albums and I tell people now they shouldn't download music!!"
They laughed with me which it was embarrassing but still funny to me now.

12/6 and 1/31: I was so shy and starstuck I couldn't even look the Pups in the face.

Oh, and at the 12/6 show in Tampa, I bought DUAL and flipped through the booklet to learn the band member's names. For some reason, my brain saw "Simon" instead of "Shimon." When I went to the table, I almost called him as such. I never thought I'd be so thankful for my inability to speak.

It's my fave and an embarrassing moment. When the crazy lady asked me if I was Shim's mom while I was trying to get some performance shots of the band. Funny, but stung a little since I was only 6 when he was born. It sucked cause Gerry and both the crew for Hurt and Veer Union heard it. We all laughed hard for two days, but it was embarrassing at first.

Somehow I don't think I've made a fool of myself in front of the Pups (other than the last time I saw them, I had lost my voice and sounded like a dying duck), but my friend did. At the aftershow concert for Rock Prophecies in Nashville last year, my friend & I were standing in the lobby talking to Mark and he asked us to come back into the room where they had played (this was a VERY small venue). My friend & I had gone in & out of there at least 5 times that night, down 2 or 3 steps, but this time when we're walking along with Mark, she somehow caught her heel and totally WIPED OUT on the steps! And no, she wasn't drunk. lol If that had been me I think I'd have died of embarrassment but my friend just laughed it off.

I wasn't so much embarrassed as I was left scratching my head...but at the Electric Factory show, I was so startled by the fact that Emma was hanging around after the show that I started grasping for things to talk about and I ended up saying something to her about Gerry opening for them and playing Barry Manilow covers on his tambourine. This is when Cassie and I decided we should start preparing topics of conversation in case we find ourselves talking to Emma again for a long period of time.

And it's always a tiny bit embarrassing after being in the pit and getting all sweaty and gross then talking to the band... But generally they are too...

I surprisingly haven't had any embarrassing moments around them. Thank goodness. I know the very first time I met them at the Ev show I was a little star struck, but that was before I was really into going to shows and after a while, you're just like 'oh yeah that's them.' lol

I begged Shim to hang out at the buses after the show, instead of taking off immediately =(

The concert was at a major arena, and there was a MASS of people in line and around them. Shim said they had to take off as soon as the show was over, which I understood. My fiancee begged him to come back, and he promised he would =D
Mark was busy shooting away with a pen, and Emma was nowhere to be found.

well...it's not really embarrassing but...when the pups were in jax beach and they were signing Emma commented on my and I kind of pompously said "yeah, I was born there but left when I was five" and she just nodded...afterwards I was scolding myself going "couldn't I have been more polite? wtf is wrong with me?" it was all nerves because I would have been SO much politer if it weren't for that.

Okay, my most embaressing moment happened at this last batch of shows... It was at the HoB in San Diego. Before the show I was outside on the phone with a friend right by where Shim was talking with someone...
I noticed after the other person left, he was waiting there like he was waiting for me to get off the phone. So I rushed off the phone and said "hi". He said "Hey" and thanked me for covering this show and some of the others. I was a little flustered that he waited for me to get off the phone and came up and gave me a hug and thanked me.
So when I turned to leave, I went the wrong way and headed straight into the backstage/stage entrance. Luckily I figured it out pretty quickly and turned around before I got myself into trouble... I was so embaressed and had to walk back out right past Shim and Johnny (from Janus) to go in the correct entrance. I think I tried to make a joke about it but I was so flustered, I just wanted to melt!
