How I first heard Sick Puppies...

The first time I heard their music was in 2007 when they opened up for Evanescence. I seen them two nights in a row and I thought they were awesome. I bought Dressed Up As Life about a week later and I have been a huge fan ever since.

Julien-K is one of the worst bands I have ever seen live ...I try very hard to block them from my memory.

This past August (09) I want to Bonzai, it was hosted by some radio station. But I went to see Smile Empty Soul. There was also a bunch other bands (Gay Blades, Tantric, Framing Hanley, SevenDust, Street Sweeper Social Club and of course Sick Puppies!) Honestly at first I had no expectations for Sick Puppies, the concert was in a parking lot open area place so I was wondering around and after they started to play I went straight back to the front! I was so into them from that moment on! I'm so happy I went to that concert! I absolutely LOVE them now!

I saw the free hugs video when i was in my last year of college soooo about 2 and a half years ago, then listened to a few more of their songs from Dressed up as Life and thiought it was absolutely awesome.

We were in San Bernardino in December 09 on one of our many road trips to see Chevelle. The lineup had The Paper Tongues, Switchfoot, Unwritten Law, Sick Puppies and Chevelle. I recignized a couple of the songs so I know I have heard them on the radio but wasn't aware of who it was. There are very few bands that we travel for and Sick Puppies are on the Short list!

My older brother introduced me to the album "Dressed Up As Life" while we were in Brisbane in "07", at first I didn't listen to them so much coz he showed me some other artists aswell but while I was on the road I started listening to them a lot more, especially the song "Howard's Tale" I just seem to relate to some of the lyrics in the song.

I received Welcome to the Real World on December 2nd, 2001 as a birthday gift.
My brothers ex's brother spent the summer of '01 in Australia.
He was originally supposed to come back around August, but he decided to stay longer.

A friend of mine just came to ma and invited me to go to a concert. She gave a Cd of the band and I loved it.

^Basically the same for me. Only heard You're Going Down and was stoked when I found out they were opening for my favorite band Shinedown. We ate at HOB restaurant beforehand and were googling the pups and when I saw their bass player was a girl I was even more excited to to see them. After Adelitas Way I was like that band should have the last opener cause they rock. But then the pups came out and rocked my face off. I completely fell in love with Emma. I told my husband when I got home that if I could choose any woman to be it would be Emma. Been major obsessed with them since then.

What did you think of that HOB? I've been to several of them before and that was the only one that I've ever had a problem going into. I wasn't allowed to bring anything to help the band with me.

I've been to tons of shows there and they never let you bring anything inside. When I saw Paramore at first they were saying no cameras allowed, but then they came out and said the band said its ok to bring cameras in. So I guess its hit or miss. I love HOB, its the best venue to see bands. Im seeing 30 seconds to mars there next week.

Yea I've been to other HOB venues and when I told them I was helping the band they didn't give me a problem at all. I could bring in my camera, clipboards, and pens with no problem. When I went there the lady was on a power trip and wouldn't let me bring in anything. She didn't believe that I was helping the band. My friend and I ate at the HOB restaurant so we could skip the line and by the time I walked everything back to the car everyone was inside.

Its even worse at Hard Rock Orlando, they search you head to toe. They took my camera at a few shows.

I've never been there, but that doesn't sound fun. I've been to TONS of venues and I actually work at one in the summer and I've never had a problem before other than that HOB in Disney.

Wait.. I'm lying.. I went to KRockathon in Weedsport, NY in 2008 and the security lady wouldn't let me wear my Tiffany's necklace/bracelet in because "I would use them as weapons and hit people." Really?? I'm going to swing around a $300+ necklace at people? Guess again, lady!


I had to go all the way back to the car and it was seriously sooooo far away! That show was ridiculous anyway. I didn't even make it up front for SP. I made it to the beginning of 12 Stones, but then it got really bad and the 400lb girl next to me was trying to choke me to get more room for her friend to dance so I went to stand in the back.
