Re: If you could pick the next single off of Tri-Polar....
This really is a had decision. So many great songs from Tri-Polar. I would say I Hate You or Survive.
I'm not sure about you guys, but around here the radio stations have barely played Odd One, and are still playing YGD on a regular basis. I think they need to release another harder sounding song, and I think those two would get alot of airplay.

Odd One's doing pretty well, but YGD did a whole lot better. The public likes the harder songs and I think Survive or I Hate You could do really really well on the radio.

They play Odd One constantly on my station...but I tend to agree they should go for a heavier song.

My station plays Riptide or YGC much more often than Odd One.

I would like one of the harder songs off the CD. So what I lied or Riptide would be my choice.
however, Shim already said something about Maybe...

Most definitely Survive...so many people who don't even listen to Sick Puppies really like the song when I play it on the jukebox

Re: If you could pick the next single off of Tri-Polar....
I am sooooo stoked that Maybe is the next single. It has been my favorite song off of Tri Polar since the first time I listened to it and I can picture such an amazing video for it.
Shim had said something about there being three mixes of it. One for rock, one for pop, and one for alternative radio. I'm excited to hear all the differences and see how well it does on each format.
World domination is close, I can feel it

I wish it would be either So What I Lied or In It For Life.

My pick for the next single would be Riptide or Survive...haven't voted yet cause I can't decide. lol Or Should've Known Better, I'm totally obsessing on that song right now.
I like Maybe, but I'm not too thrilled with that being the next single. I was hoping it would be a heavier song.

Re: If you could pick the next single off of Tri-Polar....
You know, now that I think about it, I can definatley see why they would go with Maybe.
Hard rock stations are only going to play war and YGD, you're not going to change their minds, and besides they are already playing those songs, so there is no sense to give them another song to use.
Using Maybe as the next single can go after another demographic, I.E. the pop stations. Look at how Shinedown exploaded with their song Second Chance on pop stations (at least here in St. Louis it did). That song was on our pop station Z107.7 for at least 2 months (which is a long time for that station).
I think Maybe could do well on that station too, not to mention it might get that station to play All the Same, and Odd One. Then you got all of the Teenie Boppers loving Sick Puppies, thus making Tri Polar EXPLOAD.
All it will take is Maybe being used in some sort of popular show... like Glee or something. Watch out everybody, you might have the classic "I KNEW ABOUT THEM FIRST AND NOW EVERYONE LIKES THEM" syndrome

Re: If you could pick the next single off of Tri-Polar....
Hearing Sick Puppies on Glee might just make ME explode. That would be beyond epic and amazing, as long as they did whatever song justice.
But I agree with you on why they chose Maybe, and that's almost exactly how Shim said it too. There's supposedly going to be three mixes of the song. One for rock, one for pop, and one for alternative. So they are really trying to cover all their bases and expand their fanbase which is a great thing. I'm excited to see how it does.

Although I prefer Maybe in terms of lyrics cause they hit home with me I'd like Riptide or So What I Lied for a single.

After Maybe I think they may want to continue the 'mainstream' friendly type of sound, in which case I think Don't Walk Away would be amazing. I can totally hear that on the radio.
