Unfortunately ALOT of todays music is "manufactured"

brittney is a good example, that doesnt write their own music..someone somewhere is a sonwriter either independant or associated with a certain label.
Music is created and then submitted, if it has a beat then the artist sings it (most of the time they dont even write the lyrics)

The songwriter will ultimately have 2 choices...1, no recogition/wrights to the song and will be paid a "lump sum" for their work (usually around 500 bucks or so)
2..which is a gamble, keep rights to the song and be credited, IF the song is recorded by the artist then they will get a percentage of the profits when the song is sold (around 1%) and everytime it's played on the radio (around .05%)

INSTRUMENTS are set up the EXACT SAME WAY (depending on the artist)
companies like Schecter who are trying to sell a product will actuall PAY ARTISTS to use their gear (kinda like how Jordan is always seen with NIKE) they are contracted to use the product for a certain period of time and when it runs out they can either renew or go with another "sponsor"
They will even go as far as COMPLETELY SHOWCASING a product line in videos (different guitars/drums/basses/mic's...the whole works)

then when you see em live..they are playin something completely different

Music is on the top of the list when it comes to marketing.

That makes sense. It's weird when you see someone like Dan Donegan, who's been with Washburn for ages, suddenly appear in a magazine holding a Schecter...

aww Three Days Grace. Love these guys. Known them since they were playing little clubs like 6 years ago! I've seen them like 80 times. That's crazy thinking about that...ha I miss the old days when they were so small, but I'm so proud of them for making it so huge! If you haven't seen them live before, I DEFINITELY recommend it!

3DG put on an awesome show in Lubbock w/ Blue October complete with real pyrotechnics. :rock: :flash: :rock: Would love to see SP play w/ them! The energy in that show would be off the wall!

I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm not really liking that song for some reason. :noclue: Maybe it will grow on me?
