Something that sticks out to you
Think about Sick Puppies and ask yourself "Why do I like this band and how does it stick out from other bands?" For me, I never felt so close and personal with Shim, Emma, and Mark. All the other bands I like are all pretty much socially hidden from their fans beside their music. I do not see that in Sick Puppies!! So thank you guys for being so intimate with your fans! I love you guys! And Shim.... You're voice is sexy.

One of the reasons is that they are personal with their fans.
Another reason is because I loved Shim's accent on the first CD.
Another reason I like them so much is because I have been listening them for about 9 years.

Aside from the obvious how cool they are with their fans, their live show. So many bands now days sound so good on CD and then you see them live and they are terrible. A bands live performance can make me hate a band I like, or like a band I hated. (i.e. I didn't like MCR until I saw them open for LP, and I liked bands like Trapt until I saw them live, etc.) Last but not least, they still haven't (and hopefully never will) let their success go to their head and got all conceited and crap. It's just nice to have good band, comprised of good people, in a time where good music is lacking.

I love that the Pups are a touring bands.
I like my CD's, but I prefer seeing the band and being with the band.
I have a Jack Skellington shirt that I got signed last week.
Shim loved it when I tossed it on the table.
He also remembered the shirt I was wearing because I got it signed at the last show.
That was back in August.

Re: Something that sticks out to you
There are so many reasons why the Sick Puppies stick out to me. I honestly didn't start listening to them until after the first time I saw them perform live. I've been to so many concerts, but no band has ever caught my attention and stolen my heart like the Sick Puppies did the first time I watched them perform. There is so much passion and energy that goes into their music! This is probably the first thing that really stuck out to me.
The next thing that really stuck out to me is their fans and their interaction with their fans. I got to meet the band after that first show and they gave me my first autographs. That itself is a memory that will last forever. After that first concert I came home and got on my computer and found this site. Just the concept of this site makes me love the Sick Puppies so much more! So many posts on this forum from both the fans and the group themselves has really made me realize just how close to the fans the group really is. That's something that seems very rare these days. I've come across the occastional song in my life that I could really relate to and as a result I feel a little closer to some bands than others. However, no band has ever had the ability to make me feel like I was a part of something. With their music, the interviews that I've watched, and this forum, the Sick Puppies have really made me feel like I am part of the amazing family that they have created!
Lastly (although I could list off so many more things), I love their music for what it is. The lyrics are always great. I have my favorite songs and I have my "not favorite" songs, but I honestly can't say that I've heard a Sick Puppies song that I haven't liked. It amazes me how Shim has the ability to take a song and make it so unique with the way he sings it. So many other bands find a formula for creating songs and if it works then they stick with it. So, the last really big thing that sticks out to me is their talent. I think that the Sick Puppies are much more talented than most of the bands that I hear played on the radio today.
In short, what sticks out to me about the Sick Puppies is that they are so amazing in so many ways!
