How I first heard Sick Puppies...

I remember hearing All The same on the radio and loving it, but never really looking into them. Then Street Fighter came out and I remember thinking "wow that theme is bad ass who is it?" And when I found out it was them, I couldnt believe it since the only other song I had heard by them was All the Same. Then one day I had a few extra bucks to spend and was just walking around the CD store. I saw tri polar and thought the album art was sweet and I remembered the band name so I picked it up. After I listened to that whole album, I was hooked. Now I know every song by them and theyre my favorite band. haha

My sister had I Hate You on her iPod one day and I thought "Well this is catchy. Who is this?" and she was like "Sick Puppies you ninny." I proceeded to forget about them until our local radio station played Odd One, so I used m phone to identify the artist, and it was sick puppies. I got home, downloaded tri-polar onto iTunes, and here we are.

Just skimming through this thread I think I may have a unique response...surprises me though.

I heard "You're going down" played during the intro of the Tekken movie. Loved it, had to look it up. Played that on repeat though and was getting a bit tired of it, glad I gave the other songs a chance. Now I love every single song

A friend of mine posted the Free Hugs video on my Facebook last December for hug a stressed college student. I really liked the video but was really busy with school to look up the song on the video. Then in February, I bought a pair of Red Wings tickets for a friend and I. To pay me back for the ticket she asked me if I wanted to go see a concert instead of giving me money. I told her I would go see a concert. We went to see Chevelle and Sick Puppies was playing. I fell in love with Sick Puppies after the first song they played. After Shim crowd surfed to the back of the theater, I had to go meet the band. When we got to the band I told Shim that they were amazing and now my new favorite band. When we got back in the car after the concert, my friend told me the reason she got the tickets was because she wanted to see Sick Puppies. After the concert, I bought both of their cds and since then I haven't stopped listening to them.

Well my roommate *coughsquirrel-unseencough* has a Sick Puppies obsession [Not as much as the crazies in the Mark thread though], and Feels I need to love them too, so I get to hear it nonstop until I basically admit I like them, where it will just get played more. And they seem to follow me everywhere, I was here and I hear about them, in the car with another friend, and even in the middle of Nowhere, Kentucky. So if you can't beat them, join them until they are turned into a zombie and you can kill them. [P.s. I <3 you Squirrel] [:

I first heard Sick Puppies when my sister (chimichanga) was watching the video for You're Going Down. I really like the song (and admittedly thought the singer was really hot ) but I never got around to looking them up. Then Odd One came out and my sister bought Tri-Polar and we started listening to it all the time in the car. I eventually looked up Dressed Up As Life too, but didn't really become the Puppy addict I am now until I saw them live acoustic at the Hard Rock in Houston.
