My mother told me that she got me something 'practical' a few months before the holidays came around, so I"m anxious to get that gift. Oh and I'm REALLY anxious to give my GF the last 3 gifts that I have for her. A t-shirt, Mortal Kombat Armageddon for Wii, and a 2011 Skeleton calendar. I already gave her a pendant with her name on it.

I'll certainly be glad when this is all over (lunch tomorrow with the family, probably ~25 people.), but it is a nice excuse to have chocolate peanut butter pie and plum cake...and the thousand other pies I helped Grandma make yesterday*
*My choc pb, mom's plum cake, a pecan pie each from Grandma and my Mom, Grandma's mincemeat, pumpkin, zucchini (just like apple, only not), and black walnut. And I'm sure my great aunt will show up with another dessert or two. Gotta love the family that goes way overboard with this stuff.
Now I gotta go check on my bread. Making two loaves of 'stuffing bread', full of fresh sage, rosemary and thyme with some nutmeg and black pepper.
